Hi everyone! Wow, there have been some great things happening - well done!

    Review of Monday's plan

Breakfast - boiled eggs & soldiers, plums
Lunch - out with a friend, so I'll try to make sensible, but enjoyable choices, honest, but this will be my main meal today
Dinner - mug shot, carrot & pepper sticks, fruit had the last of the veg soup instead of mug shot. Fruit was banana.
Lunch turned out to be a starter of cherry tomato & red onion salad :) in balsamic dressing :( followed by roast ham :), mash hmm, and leeks :) in a delicious creamy sauce :(:(. And there was a little 1" shortbread round :(with tea afterwards. But I didn't have any dessert :A
Snacks: chocolate digestive (4), 1 Werthers Original (1)

Hope it won't be too damaging tomorrow morning. Fingers and toes crossed.

Tuesday's plan - family dinner night

Breakfast - weetabix, hexa milk, fruit
Lunch - chicken salad, ML yogurt, fruit
Dinner - roast pork, potatoes, couple of veg to be decided, apple sauce (1 syn), toffee apple ice cream (1.5 syns) and fruit.

I hope to be joinig you in a 4 stone award............somewhere around November at this rate :rotfl::rotfl:

You know those days when you just want to eat everything in sight? I've just had 3 on the trot!
Soooo cross with myself as I really wanted my 1 stone award this week and I don't think I'll be getting it unless I can pull a really large rabbit out of the hat between now and Thursday :mad:

Today has been really disjointed and I've eaten at odd times due to events at work, not even going to bother listing my menu as it looks more like a shopping list.

So it's going to have to be success express for me for the next 2 days and hope the damage isn't too bad

Becks, I think maybe the reason some of us are doing well is partly because we do post on here and get support when things aren't going so well - so don't feel bad about posting!

Sometimes motivation wanes, it happens to all of us. I wrote down a list of reasons why I was doing this - including physical fitness, medical reasons, family reasons, longevity, as well as looking better. Would it help to get those clear in your mind?

Maybe set some small goals - starting with your holiday in ten days! It's unlikely you will stick to plan on holiday, but you can help minimise the damage by doing your best before the holiday starts.

This is the perfect place to post when motivation is low, so keep posting!

    Hi everyone,

Hope you feel better soon Beanie.

    Well done on the losses.

Pennylane, our consultant says that free food is there to eat freely, but still in moderation. It's 'free' in the context that it's more filling and lower energy (calories, which is just a measure of energy). The body uses up more energy when having to digest it too. The basics as to why SW works when other plans don't, is that you don't feel hungry following the plan. You should use 'free' food to help you to feel satisfied, but not stuffed. She does remind us that while we should never be hungry on SW, there is no diet in the world where you can consume endless calories and lose weight. We should aim to fill up on as much superfree as we can, then use the other free foods, and then our syns for extra treats and higher fat/sugar/processed food. Hope that makes some sense.

WI tonight for me, +0.5lb thanks 2b I did say to the ladies at the scales that the God of Poo never visits just before a WI, and that I'd go home and the half pound would be off again..... I was right :o

Anyway, I know that my scales at home are bang on with the SW ones, and my half pound is actually 0.2lb, so I'm really not going to be bothered about a gain, but I am a bit disappointed that after what I thought was an on-track week, apart from the W/E which I thought I had syns in the bag for, I should have been OK for a loss.

So, what was different about last week, from the ones before where I lost I'm thinking? I did more green days, with pasta twice last week, and potatoes on other days if I was doing EE. That's a couple of times now when I've had a green day in order to get the benefit of more HEX's and it's just not worked out for me. I'm trying to not have too much fruit either, because of how others have said it can be counter-productive for them too. I did struggle to get in lots of SF's toward the end of last week because I was due to go shopping, so that may not have helped?

Ah well, it's another week now, so I'll not do any more green days this week, despite today having been one, and see how that goes. I am away for next week's Monday WI, but hope to get there for Weds. instead (have booked it for a holiday just in case i can't).

So, here's today's plan: Green Day

    B - Mullerlight, apple, banana
D - Savoury rice, cabbage, leeks. Satsuma
D - Baked potato, low fat cheese, five baked beans, broccoli, carrots, peas. ketchup 1 syn
Supper - Hot chocolate 2 syns & Special K bar

HEA 1 & 2 = Milk in teas, LF Cheese
HEB Special K Chewy Delight bar
    total syns = 3
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Come on Becks, you can do it, 10 days till holiday, 10 days on plan, you'll feel so much better about yourself. (or just relax a bit and start again after holidays ;) )

Becks - everyone had those days/weeks ? For me personally posting on here is my way of admitting how bad I've been and makes it real? So then I have the choice to carry on eating bad or give my head a wobble and get back to sw ways?

Super frees running low towards the end of the week - pickled onions and beetroots are my staples as I don't really like salad and can't stand tomato or cucumber (slightly allergic who knew!!) x but a store cupboard essential for me

Thanks for all the lovely messages I am genuinely shocked that I got a loss today at all?
I had been grazing on a lot more naughties than I had before but I sat down before with my diary and I think I was just skirting around 105 syns for the week - plus I passed at least one gallstone so that's weight right ;)

    Will read back through tomorrow

Coincidentally - free food debate deepens? Free food should technically be those in the first few pages of the book ie potatos beans sweetcorn etc the pasta sauces rices etc aren't real free foods by sw standards rather syn free as opposed to free free ;) so sw change the technical termings

Last week between Monday - Friday pm I ate what I felt was an awful lot of junk? Friday teatime onwards I basically success expressed and drank lots of nas squash? Did it work? Yes? Do I feel ashamed yes I know better than to eat what I did
Did it feel good at the time - not really but at the time my head wasnt in my normal head space? It was reeling from reading too many googled websites

Worth noting I got teased a bit today as I use measuring spoons for like sauce / mayo? Instead of just squirting a dollop? Am I the only one sad enough to actually measure it out

Having another Green day today - just hoping I'm not having too many this week?

B - Scrambled eggs on toast
L - Jacket potato, baked beans
D - Pork and pearl barley stew

HEA1 - SS milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB1 - 65g cooked pork
    HEB2 - 2 slices WM bread

Have got pineapple, satsumas and bananas for snacks, plus a couple of Muller Lights in I fancy them.

Haven't planned any syns today but no doubt I'll have something, although it wouldn't worry me if I don't has I had loads over the weekend.

    Have a good day everyone.
