    Welcome jellybean.

2b, that's a good loss in anyone's book, well done!

Becks81, oh blimey! Right, well that line has now been drawn. Get straight back on it, stay on it, and wack in plenty of superfrees, and let's hope you see a good loss in the next 2 wks. I do think 12lb may be a tad ambitious, but then look at how much MrsMc has lost recently!

Well supplies are getting a bit low in the house right now, and I'm trying to avoid going shopping for another few days if possible, so will have to just get a bit creative.

Today has been on plan, but not great, as hardly any SF's, but I've been a bit distracted with supporting my son, who's having a really bad time of things at the moment (physically and emotionally). Planning food went a bit out of the window, so I've had to make it up as I went along.

    Today's Plan: Extra Easy

    B - Porridge HeB + 25g porridge 4.5 syns, Milk HeA, sugar 1 syn
    snack - kiwi fruit
    L - Bacon x 2, eggs x 2, five baked beans, leeks. Activia Creamy yogurt 2.5 syns
D - Bacon x 2, eggs x 2, five baked beans, WM bread slice 5 syns, Tesco Meat Free mediterranean sausage 1.5 syns.

    Total Syns: 14.5

Just goes to show how a day can get totally blind-sided by outside influence. Not being able to really plan, and fitting a meal into the evening at short-notice was tricky. Wasn't exactly the most varied food day, that's a fact!

    Welcome Jellybaby!

Right, have to be completely honest with you lot. I feel really disgusted with myself I need a swift kick up the backside.

I gained 6lbs :eek::eek: yes 6lbs that almost one for every day of the week :( To say I am devastated is an understatement, I weighed in then ran straight out of group and sat in the car and sobbed until my throat hurt. It hasn't been a week completely on plan I will admit but I wasn't expecting that much.

I'm on the depo so can't even blame it on * week. I go on holiday 2 weeks tomorrow and wanted to lose 12lbs. I really feel like giving up. But I'm not going to. I'm going to get on Tesco's and do my food shop to have a good week.

I'm drawing that line and getting right back on it.

Well done to all of the losers, no matter how much you have lost be happy it is still a loss.

Mildredd & MrsRyan I hope you are both feeling better.

:( That was me last week love, I know exactly how you feel.

Well done on your line drawing and positive attitude, I went west and probably did more damage!

2b can I change my target to 7 please?

Last week knocked me for six (well, 5 :D) and it's Top Boy's birthday next week and he wants to go out for tea and to be honest, I absolutely refuse to count syns on that day, rather do it on my own birthday.

I think 7 might be more realistic bearing in mind my target...

    Evening all

    Welcome Jellybaby

Becks Well done on drawing the line, atta girl! Getting the right shopping in is a great idea, I find I'm really prone to going 'off piste' if I haven't got the right shopping in.

Weigh in for me tonight and a 3.5lb loss for me and Slimmer of the Month :j:j:j:j:j.
Just 2 more lbs to go for my 1 stone award, determined to get it next week so I'm going for it big time this week. I've got all the right shopping in :D so in theory 2 lbs should be doable.
Does anybody else find that pasta slows their weight loss down? I know it's a free but I don,t have such good losses the weeks I eat pasta. Other carbs (potatoes, rice, couscous, quinoa e.t.c.) I'm fine with. Pasta makes me feel bloated and a bit sluggish anyway, so maybe this is a case of listening to your body. I'm going to consciously leave it out again this week and see what happens loss wise.

    Well in Crafty Witch!

I eat pasta most days in my dinner for work, but it is literally a handful and I don't eat it with anything else that day apart from this Monday, on account of us discovering the wonderful SW bolognese at the weekend :D

I firmly believe that we are all different though!

    Morning all

Thank you for all your kind words last night. I sent my manager an email informing him i thought it was wrong so he sent me a copy of my wage slip which i had a look at. It seems that HMRC have tanned me £466 in tax/ni :eek::mad::eek::mad::eek:( as i received a brucie bonus this month), and its not the £700 i initially thought i was out by ( just goes to show how i think when i am in :( mode ) . I am still very  at the figure as its pretty much treble what i normally pay and means that i have infact lost half of my bonus to the tax man . I am going to contact the lady who puts the wages through as i cant accept the fact £466 has gone to the taxman. I want it to be properly explained. It just makes no sense to me - the fact they have tripled by tax/ni contributions is bonkers.. If indeed its correct i will accept it & voodoo doll george osbourne because i truly feel i have been robbed of that money - i worked my backside off to earn that bonus & its GUTTING that i will only see half of it..:(

Compare your tax code with your last pay slip. Are they the same?

    Hi all
Rubbish rubbish day :( got a copy of the letter to my GP from the orthopaedic consultant today in which he basically says I'm fat and lazy and couldn't do what he was asking me because of my weight!! I was furious and had a little cry because I've worked so hard to lose 4.5 stone and he's talking about me in the same terms as I was when I was nearly 20 stone!!! He didn't seem to grasp that I struggled because I was in pain and that I'm not morbidly obese anymore!! :( I'm going back to the doctor to ask for a second opinion as he also put that I can get in and out of the shower without assistance (I can't, I clearly told him OH has to lift me in and out) and that I can do all household tasks without assistance (again I told him clearly OH has to do it all) I don't want to go back to that horrible man again! Mind it was the same hospital that told me there was nothing wrong and wanted to forcibly fit a Mirena coil when I actually had cancer...
Also been on the phone to my mate most of the day as were having trouble with one of the lads at the rugby acting like an utter twonk
After all this I've still managed to be quite good- god knows how!
B: 1 Alpen Light Cherry Bakewell bar, 1 HiFi Rocky Road bar,(HEXB) cup of tea with HEXA milk
L: Beans, tuna, scrambled eggs, Uncle Bens Golden Veg micro rice (2.5 syns) pint of NAS cordial
T: Tesco Healthy living Moroccan Chicken with veg couscous (5 syns) raspberry Mullerlight, 2 bite size kinder chocs (3.5) pint of NAS cordial
S: big plate of steamed mixed veg, ham, Worcester sauce, banana, 2 laughing cow light blue cheese triangles (HEXA) pint of NAS cordial
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day- it's payday at midnight so hopefully it will all be ok...
    Night all xx

I sincerely hope his next number 2 is a hedgehog.

What a nasty little man, he must have checked your records and how hard you have worked.

I genuinely worry that compassion is being worked out of people under this government and that would be the biggest travesty of all :(
  • Well done for all the weight losses and slimmer of the month award :T

Becks, the weeks when you gain are when you should stay to class and get motivation and help for the week ahead. You sound positive and back on track though, well done and good luck for this week.

Crafty Witch, I'm vegetarian and a big pasta eater. I do try to vary it with potatoes/rice/couscous etc, but it still features several times per week and I get good weight losses regardless. As Top Girl says, we are all different though.

Thank you so much guys!!! Really means a lot with all of the encouragement.

Crafty well done on getting SOTM! Not that my opinion counts for much at the moment, but I find bread to be the real killer with weight loss, I never used to eat much rice or pasta, but can't think of anytime I've had a loss after eating bread. I don't touch the stuff usually, and because of my diabetes I don't eat much carbs in the form of rice or pasta.

Sary, you are a superstar for being there for your son. It's so hard juggling family life with SW, but you always comment on peoples posts and answer questions, you are a real credit to this thread. And even today you say you didn't plan and you still came in within your syns:T

Tesco's has now been ordered and will be delivered in time for the weekend, I have a weekend planned of making soups and filling curries, I would love to lose a good chunk of my gain this coming week
