But I bet you enjoyed it lol

Mildredd I'm 3 from 5 stone and I feel like I'm XXXXing around lol

Heading out tomorrow night and I know I'll want some comfort food on Saturday night so have it in my head that I want a Chinese. I've also been thinking about how much I'd love a bottle of Oyster Bay this week as well !!

Think part of the problem with me is that now I'm into 14s I feel a bit better about myself and I have taken the pressure off a bit - don't see that there is anything wrong with this - I still want to get to my 9 stone 13 target - but I'm probably not just as driven about it as I was in the beginning and I kind of want to enjoy myself too and still have a life and not always be worrying about what I am or not eating!

I really do need to take a look at my diet though as more carbs and more fruit affect my losses and things like Alpen Light Bars and lots of Grapes have been sneaking in.

Anyway hopefully the scales will be kind tonight - a 0.5 lb off would do me rightly!

Rainbowfairy dust - Nothing annoys me more than problems with your wages! My MGR kept forgetting to do the monthly pay last year and put them through whenever he liked. So for example we got paid on the 3rd of Feb when we were meant to get paid on the 31st of Jan! This happened loads and I went mental every time - so I know how frustrated you must feel!

I get a bonus in Dec and lose about a third to tax (dunno if this helps). Best not to think about what your out if it is right as it just depresses you!!

Maman - you are a slim person now! Time for the brain to catch up with the body I think!!

You're right lantanna. I think I've accepted that I am slim now but I haven't forgotten the years that I was fat. So every day I get a thrill from seeing how slim I am in the mirror and accept all compliments with great pleasure. For anyone feeling fed up, I can only keep repeating how good it feels not to be fat any more.

4lb off this week 2b, at last I've made a start on the Valentines challenge! Well done to all the losers and STS's keep plodding on gainers it will come off, my gain did!
Brilliant loss! I'm convinced that everything catches up in the end. So if you do STS, eventually you'll have a loss that will make up for it. There are exceptions like making mistakes on syns and some medications but generally plodding on is the best advice.

MrsR and rfd, hope you have a much better day today. MrsR, I'd definitely see what can be done about that doctor's report. Not only is it incredibly insensitive but for him to make statements about your capability which are patently wrong is incompetent.

We had the conversation at group today about chow mein going up in syns. I asked how they could say that for all Chinese taka-aways across the country. I think they expected us to just accept that if SW HQ said it, it must be true! When forced to think, my consultant reasoned that many/most restaurants buy in sauce mixes from a limited number of suppliers. Apparently some have increased the amount of cornflour and hence the syns. I think it's worth checking with your local if it's something you eat.

We were also given a voucher for a free Batchelors pasta pot thing. I don't eat them myself but I thought I'd get one and put it in the SoW basket.

For 2b, I STS this week.

I'm delighted with that as I've eaten out so much recently. I'm away this weekend staying with a friend but I should be able to rein myself back before Valentine's.

    My EE plan for today:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, fried egg, HEA milk for teas
    L: probably HM vegetable soup
D: lamb chops, roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, cabbage

    Syns: gravy, squirt of sauce

Lantanna - programme was interesting. Bascially, if you eat all fat you will lose weight (mostly muscle), if you eat all sugar, you will lose weight. BUT, combine the two and cabooom!!

I had a little stumble last night - making a christening cake for a friend and the top needed trimming and it fell into my mouth!!

Not overly concerned as I hadn't had any syns - but picking at things is a habit I need to break!!

Hello lovely ladies (and gents), I would like to join you all :) I've been reading this thread, and many others, for a long, long time and have finally plucked up courage. Or perhaps that should read I've just drawn a line in the sand and enough is enough. I HAVE to do something - for my health and mental wellbeing.

I was widowed three years ago. My lovely husband was ill for a year and half before he died and my weight stayed around the 14 1/2 stone mark - much too heavy for my 5' 6" frame but to be honest, I was rushing between hospitals, school runs, kids clubs, work etc and eating rubbish. OH was on a high fat, high everything diet really and I ate along with him. The weight started to fall off after the funeral and I dropped two and half stones. In the last six months though bad habits have started to creep in and a stone has snuck back on without me really noticing. Until last week that is when I jumped on the scales and nearly had a heart attack!!

I did Slimming World five years ago and thought it was a really good, sensible eating plan. So Im back, can't attend classes at the moment as there's none in my area early morning so will have a go and keeping track myself - with all your help please!

I'm also hitting a big birthday beginning of March and going to a wedding at the end of March. Better late than never is my current motto :rotfl:

Wish I'd thought of that! I gave mine to someone in group who does use them - I've not used them up till now and I have no intention of starting eating junk just because they give us a voucher!

I was really pleased at WI this morning as I had lost 1.5lb so am now only 1lb over my actual target weight, hoping to lose that next week to get bang on. Thought I'd lost a bit but that was more than I expected.
