    I don't think I got a pin number.
I'll go and have a rummage through the info in my account. If I have one, I'll eat my words about unfairness. That should have NO syns at all lol.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    No I don't have one.
I googled lifeline online and, given the option to register, I got this -

  • Hi guys,

Congrats on the progress everyone :)
Can I just add as well, sometimes the progress isn't the weight at all, don't forget that :D

I'm going to miss my wi tomorrow due to builders being here -_- quite bummed as I really like it and it keeps me focused, don't have scales here so might just pop into a boots or something to see, don't know if I can wait till next week!

Hoping for a much better week this week, I'm gonna try to keep up with everything and try get out swimming, although from the rain I might soon have my own pool!

That is disgraceful!! Online members pay a fair whack and should be entitled to everything group member are, including, lifelineonline and buying books and hifi bars online..

My WI in the morning. I had a mug shot earlier and was trying not to eat anything else tonight but I am starving so am cooking up some carrot and cumin (no freakin coriander, I am so annoyed) soup. Hopefully that will stop my rumbling belly.

I also feel a bit grim though as I was munching on a tangerine earlier and looked down to find mould all over it!! Wouldn't happen with a mars bar, healthy eating is dangerous!

Mrslady and Nessie - I have no idea of a trigger? I ate normally yesterday and it happened x had the same over Xmas n new year one night but it eased within 30mons of taking painkillers so last nights was a shock. Was like child birth all over :/ which is how the dr described the pain level apparently gall stones n kidney stones are closest pain to labour due to the contracting nature of the gallbladder/ kidney expelling the stone

I've just spent almost 2 weeks in hospital with pancreatitis caused by gall stones, so I feel your pain ;)

Operation booked for week after next to have the gall bladder removed so hopefully I never get it again. I've had 3 children and the pancreatitis was truly far more painful than any labour pains I experienced. I was on a morphine drip for 8 days......it was horrendous!

On the plus side, I lost 3 stones in 6 weeks :D:D:D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I've looked on the sw website and I can't find syn values for maggi noodles anywhere. I've even tried searching in everyday foods with just the 3 minute noodle keywords but no joy I'm afraid :(

Batchelors super noodles (regular, not the low fat ones) are 10 syns per 100g pack made up.

Sainsburys basics are 3-6 syns per 65g pack depending on flavour, so as these packs are smaller than the batchelors ones it probably equates to about 8-10syns per 100g.

If you post the nutritional info, I'll do a syns calculation on the website for you if this helps?

It's not something I eat, but manchild enjoys them as a snack sometimes. I wonder if you could use dried noodles (sainsbobs are free on g and ee) and cook them in a knoor stock pot with a bit of curry powder added. Would this work?

I couldn't find any Maggi noodles either. Maybe check on one of the supermarkets online, and compare the nutritional value of the Maggi ones to the Batchelors, and see if they are similar. For now, I'd suggest thinking they're not free.
I do what Crafty Witch suggests above, I simmer a stock cube, and extra seasoning in a pan of water, then put in some egg noodles, and add some leeks/onions/mushrooms/cabbage or whatever I have around, and put it into the pan too. It's quite tasty, and even better, it's free!:T

Sarymclary - no it's not the special pasta sauces it's the standard ones the brand is cucina. Any idea?
Why are the aldi yoghurts different? I checked the nutritional content and it's virtually the same. These are the things I don't understand about SW. When I used to do weight watchers there is a formula for working out the points but with SW there doesn't seem to be anything like this which means I am often wondering about syns. I do have a SW book but I guess it's just all the new stuff!

    Could this be them? :
Cucina Pasta Sauce, Bolognese , 500g jar 16 on all plans
Cucina Pasta Sauce, Mediterranean Vegetable , 415g jar 10½ on all plans 13 on all plans

Blinking pasta sauces are pretty high in syns I've discovered. I rely on them quite a bit with quick easy meals for my boys, who love tortellini and a veggi sauce. I did a passata based one a couple of weeks ago, but they said it wasn't tasty enough. I probably need to batch cook some, then freeze it, and include plenty more veggies for flavour.

Has anybody tried the SW donuts? Hb roll, spoon of jam poked in, sprayed with frylight (filipio berio) coated in sweetener and ovened for 10 mins...

There was a bit of a debate about whether they are a tweak or not. Either way they are quite nice :)

I saw that on the FB pages (blimey, don't they get their knickers in a twist on there?!) I really didn't see how it could be a tweak, since you weren't fundamentally changing any of the HeB, the roll simply has a tsp of jam inside it, and is then heated up in the oven after a spray of frylight and dipped in sweetener. I may well give it a try though, especially on a red or green day when I get 2 HeBs :o

Beanie, I got caught out with the Batchelors supernoodles too, but thankfully didn't eat them before I found out.

Redmel, your post about the tangerine really made me chuckle. I do remember my mum having a Nutty bar (there's a blast from the past) back in the 70's and it was mouldy, so it can happen to chocolate bars apparently.

Consultant, sorry to hear you've been poorly. Good luck with your operation, and wishing you a speedy recovery.
