    Sukey boo - I absolutely love cheese! But for nearly a year all I have had is the following;

Tesco Half Fat Cheddar Slices, Low Low Slices, or my personal fave Weight Watchers Cheddar slices - I eat a lot of M&S Reduced Fat Feta - and find 25g goes really far!

I allow myself 2 slices or 25g of the feta everyday - hasn't hindered me I think! I love cheese too much to say good bye to it completely!

Sary - Bread, crisps, wine and Chinese curry are my vices !

I've eliminated the wine completely and drink Gin now, crisps - i allow myself a few bags (ahem.......... sometimes a multi pack a week - generally consumed after a few gins at the weekend) low syn ones).

Bread I only eat at the weekends and only Nimble.

Chinese - probably have one once a month if that! Was prob averaging on 2 a week this time last year and am ashamed to say I was having a full portion to myself with a full portion of fried rice and a full portion of chips with prawn crackers - slightly embarrassed of this now and the portions in mine are massive - no wonder I felt so ill after and had chronic trapped wind!!!!!

Sarymclary - no it's not the special pasta sauces it's the standard ones the brand is cucina. Any idea?
Why are the aldi yoghurts different? I checked the nutritional content and it's virtually the same. These are the things I don't understand about SW. When I used to do weight watchers there is a formula for working out the points but with SW there doesn't seem to be anything like this which means I am often wondering about syns. I do have a SW book but I guess it's just all the new stuff!

Thanks sarymcclary, I didn't doubt joedenise's values, but I knew I had my info direct from SW too. I tried to get onto lifeline online, but appears to be only available to group members and I am merely an online member. I really don't see why online members shouldn't be able to access the same information.

I use the syns tool if it's something that's not in that pdf booklet, but I've trusted it to give me accurate information - up until now! Often it's easier/quicker to grab the list (I've printed out the set) rather than fire up the computer.

    Thanks again.

    Bobbie

Have also checked the App and that shows the same as the LifelineOnline values.

Seems ridiculous that the online members list is different.

:T:T:T I love it when all the losses come rolling in!!

I don't think my tastes have changed hugely since starting SW. I could still murder a pie or a pasty. What has happened is that I really value my 'syn bank' each week so I'd see having some of the junk I used to eat as a total waste of syns.

Sorry topgirl, I'm sure someone will answer your question about the noodles soon. I'm having problems with synsonline. Excuse nosiness but I read you are a 2 person household and you sometimes mention TopBoy: do you cook SW for both of you? My DH is getting conscious that he hasn't shifted his Christmas weight as quickly as he'd like. He eats all SW main meals with me but he has synful snacks (biscuits, cakes etc.) so I'm hoping he'll join me properly soon.

I'm really well on EE plan today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: chicken, pickled cabbage and bubble&squeak
    D: SW Bolognese
Syns: squirt of syrup, bite of Crunchie (at footie) and maybe a scrape of Parmesan
My DH has "sort of" joined me in doing SW! Unfortunately he can't have WM bread as it affects his IBS so he's counting 50/50 as HEB.

It seems to be working as he's lost 10lb in 3 weeks!!! and gloating.

Also if anyone could get me the syns for Beef and Tomato Maggi 3 minute noodles, I would be eternally grateful. I bought some as they looked like a good deal today but if £ saved are proportionate to lbs on, I will give them away!!

I've looked on the sw website and I can't find syn values for maggi noodles anywhere. I've even tried searching in everyday foods with just the 3 minute noodle keywords but no joy I'm afraid :(

Batchelors super noodles (regular, not the low fat ones) are 10 syns per 100g pack made up.

Sainsburys basics are 3-6 syns per 65g pack depending on flavour, so as these packs are smaller than the batchelors ones it probably equates to about 8-10syns per 100g.

If you post the nutritional info, I'll do a syns calculation on the website for you if this helps?

It's not something I eat, but manchild enjoys them as a snack sometimes. I wonder if you could use dried noodles (sainsbobs are free on g and ee) and cook them in a knoor stock pot with a bit of curry powder added. Would this work?

Off to pilates now folks, will post menu later this evening:)

Has anybody tried the SW donuts? Hb roll, spoon of jam poked in, sprayed with frylight (filipio berio) coated in sweetener and ovened for 10 mins...

There was a bit of a debate about whether they are a tweak or not. Either way they are quite nice :)

  • Hi There! I've just found this thread and thought I'd say hello! I started back at SW on 8th Jan and lost 3lbs first week and 1lb second. WI night is tomorrow but I had a shocking weekend :-( . Hopefully I'll stay the same BUT I NEED to lose approx 21lbs before I see my neurologist on 28th Feb, so I'm back on track and hope to find lots of inspiration here! I'll update my sig once I work out how again :-)

Good luck for tommorow. It's my WI day too but I have only been on plan for the last 2 days. Hoping for my 3rd consecutive STS!!

Mrslady and Nessie - I have no idea of a trigger? I ate normally yesterday and it happened x had the same over Xmas n new year one night but it eased within 30mons of taking painkillers so last nights was a shock. Was like child birth all over :/ which is how the dr described the pain level apparently gall stones n kidney stones are closest pain to labour due to the contracting nature of the gallbladder/ kidney expelling the stone

I had gall stones when I was 20 years old and was in pain on and off for 5 months before I had an operation to remove the gall bladder by key hole surgery. They are so painful, I used to take painkillers and walk around at home with a hot water bottle under my top.

    Take care

I did too Beanie, in fact I saw a post about them only today on the sw fb page. But according to the sw website syns online tool, it's only the super low fat ones which are free on ee and green. The rest are all 10 on ee and green and 26.5 :eek::eek: on red days.
