    Hi folks!
I'm risking all here by posting this so early (for me)!

    Review of Monday's Plan

Breakfast - mackerel on hexb toast
Lunch - Batchelor's broccoli & cheese pasta 'n' sauce, beetroot, tomatoes, fruit salad
Dinner - bacon & vegetable (sprouts, green beans, peppers) frittata (2 syns), salad, ML lemon cheescake yogurt
Snacks - Alpen light bar (3 syns), 2 cream crackers (3 syns) with hexa 1 dairylea light triangle and tomatoes

    Total - 8 syns

weigh in tomorrow - hope Sunday didn't mess things up too much

Can anyone tell me how much cream soda and how much rice I use for the pudding? I take it there are no other ingredients?

    Thanks everyone.

    Greentiger - couple of things:

Muller Lemon cheesecake is 1 syn; also were the cream crackers reduced fat ones? If not then they would be 2 syns each. Not a problem as you were still well within syns yesterday.

    Today's menu looks good.

I've never made the cream soda rice pudding so can't help with that, although I have made it just using water. Quantities are 1 cup pudding rice to 2 cups of water.

Bring to boil on the hob and then simmer for 6 minutes and then off the heat. Leave to stand for 20 minutes to steam without removing the lid.

Give the rice a stir and then stir through a Mullerlight vanilla yoghurt.

    Good morning!

Thanks for the help with syns, I think I will start by using them as extras in meals. Trying to stay off chocolate and biscuits at the moment, and I don't find it hard to resist the little whispers from ... believe it or not, the car boot, which is where I put my stash in desperation last week. I will chuck it, but at the moment it's providing long-range security!

Can anyone tell me please, is Ainsley Harriott Mushroom bulgar wheat free? It's 1.7% fat.

    Thank you in advance.

Oh meant to say! I saw something on FB last night about the SW website updating syn values for takeaways.

A Chicken Chow Mein is now 16.5!!

Its not something I would eat and tbh I did often wonder how it could be so low in syns as a mound of noodles cooked in oil and Chinese portions are so big!

Might be worth checking the updated syns for takeaways if you are planning to have one as you don't want to ruin all your hard work.

If I am having a Chinese I get what I fancy - usually curry or salted chili chicken and always get half rice half chips and either have the night off (one meal a week - off plan) or count 40 syns for it and that seems to work for me.

Tbh before I started this I was having at the minimum one Chinese a week!!! a bigger portion than I would have now and now I have one a month - if even that!!

I worked out I've had one Pizza since starting last April and that was just an Asda one - no takeaway Pizza's as such - no Garlic Bread of any sort either!

I've had two chippy's since last April - which I didn't enjoy and one McDonalds - which consisted of a double cheeseburger only! lol

    No KFC at all!!

You know what I don't even miss them - has anybody else found that their tastes have changed??

    Morning all
3.5lb loss for the challenge please 2b

I think that seems a lot - but I'm chuffed to bits, and I had to get on and off the scales a number of times! I have had a good week though, including a couple of steaks in Wetherspoons that might not have been as low syn as I thought, and my birthday on Sunday. I had a small glass of Champers and a piece of birthday cookie - but within Syns.

    Hehehehehe! Happy Mrs Lady!

    L - LO Saag aloo (free :T:T:T)
D - Simon Rimmer bean chilli ( free :T:T) and rice

snacks - muller light, milk as hex a, ryvita (hex b x 2) , low fat cheese (2nd hex a), and a tangerine (or clementine - i dont know which?)
