Not had a chance to get on at the weekend. I stayed on plan all weeked though, have WI tonight. A wee question, on your WI day do you still drink water? I will be getting weighed about 6.30 but won't eat dinner until I am home. I have usually drank my 2 litres by then & seem to hold on to it!

    EE Plan Today

L - Speed Soup, Melon, Strawberries
D - Prob chicken stir fry as will be late in
    S - Apple, orange
HEA & HEB - Roasted heese for supper.

20 mins on cross trainer tonight.

    Thanks all.

Feeling much more positive today and thoroughly back on track.

Top Boy had a McDonalds courtesy of someone else yesterday, I was offered and only had a diet coke (and two of Top Boy's fries and the gherkins off his burger which I refuse to syn :D) :A

    Today:

Breakfast - bacon, egg, tinned tomatoes and mushrooms in fry light

Dinner - Tuna pasta salad (1) and a fruit salad of pineapple, apple and kiwi.

    Tea - SW speedy bolognese.

Anyone know which is the lowest in syns from the Asda and Co-Op healthy living garlic baguettes please?

Thanks Denise, I see what you mean. Before they brought in Extra-Easy I used to do Green.

I am looking forward to lots of salads and veg coming from Mr A this aft.

I have I think now got EE sorted in my thick head.

And the dynorod soup is gorgeous tho I say it myself . I put loads of garlic in.

The sun is shining here-Gloucestershire-so have done some tidying up in the garden with the dog helping me.

It must be so hard having an evening weigh-in, I did once and had to stop because I was getting obsessive about it. Well done those who cope with it.

Do you have problems using syns? It's the"It's a diet so you must suffer" syndrome I find SO hard to break free from. Help please! Any tips?

    Thanks, Sue

T - I'm going to make a chicken curry that I made on my first SW week as it was delicious - it's got ginger, garlic, chilli, lots of nice yummy things in, I'll throw lots of red pepper and asparagus in too - totally free and delish! :D Got it out of an old mag that my consultant gave me. I'm gonna have it with basmati rice.

I'd love the recipe as I haven't got a SW one that I really like as much as 'shop bought'.

Life is very busy at the moment and that seems to equate with eating out loads. Yesterday I had a pub roast but with SW breakfast and snacking on YS smoked salmon in the evening probably wasn't that bad.

Today and tomorrow should be very low syn before my next pub visit on Wednesday.:o

    Today's EE:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: banana
D: gammon, new potatoes, peas, carrots and onions
    Syns: squirt of syrup

Supper will be very early today so may need a snack later. I think I'll defrost a couple of the YS chicken drumsticks just in case.

Sorry no time to answer any questions, back soon.

  • Hi all

Hope everyone is ok today. Welcome to the newbies

Fast day for me today.. for lunch i had spicy saag aloo potatoes (another recipe that is SW friendly) . Its just potatoes, spinach & onions cooked with spices. I will post the recipe tomorrow as it was pretty yummy and very quick/easy to make. D

I have managed to get through January pretty much alcohol free (with the exception of a staff leaving do where i had a couple of glasses of pink). I havent missed the alcohol at all..I have noticed that i always have a restless night when i have been drinking. Not buying a bottle of wine each week has saved me around £20 too. Not giving it up but at the moment i am not missing it.

will be back tomorrow when i am back on SW :D
