Lantanna - rather than throwing half a loaf away everyweek why don't you split it and put half in the freezer and half in the fridge/bread bin or wherever you keep your bread!

Would stop you eating it all and save you some money as you'd only need to buy a loaf alternate weeks.

    Worth considering?

    Denise

I know Denise - thanks for that but unfortunately if its in the house at all - even in the freezer I'll dig it out and eat it.

Bread is like a drug to me lol

    Morning all,

Very busy thread over the weekend - welcome to all the newbies, congrats to all the losers and hugs to all those that need them - especially TIE you are having a really hard time of it at the moment aren't you?

2b - I think I forgot to give you my WI last week - sorry! Last week was a STS and this week was -1lb - thanks for keeping the chart - it is much appreciated :T.

I have started trying to take weekends off-plan to see if I can gain back a bit of weight but it didn't work this week :( - maybe it will catch-up for next week's WI.

Have a great day everyone :)
  • Good morning all - had a good weekend (again probably didn't eat enough on Saturday - I had my long run of 8 miles and it kinda works funny in that it takes my appetite away and I need to make sure I have enough food in me!!)

Sunday was busy but food was ok I think...we had a roast chicken for sunday lunch with all the trimmins' and I made up that curry sauce that is like the chinese take away for hubby and had some of that with loads of chicken and onions in it with some boiled rice.

    Today...
B: ML yog and a bunch of fruit
L: ham and cheese sandwich ML and fruit (HEX a and b with some syns in the extra light salad cream)
D: not sure yet (I can never figure out dinners till later!!)

Well done on all the losses...hang in there to everyone else :)

    8 miles - flippin heck!!
  • Morning Everyone!

    Todays menu on Extra Easy:

B - 2 weetabix with 250mls semi skimmed (heA) with a sliced banana and a handful of blueberries on top - never had it with blueberries before, really enjoyed it :) and had a cup of pear and apple tea

L - Not sure yet, might have a plate of salad followed by some chicken noodles soup (leftover cooked chicken, chicken oxo & nest of dried noodles, dried herbs) Maybe an orange or apple

T - I'm going to make a chicken curry that I made on my first SW week as it was delicious - it's got ginger, garlic, chilli, lots of nice yummy things in, I'll throw lots of red pepper and asparagus in too - totally free and delish! :D Got it out of an old mag that my consultant gave me. I'm gonna have it with basmati rice.

Snacks - I'll be having fruit tea throughout the day or water or cordial, then tonight I'll have a couple of highlights hot chocolates(4 syns), some velvet crunch(4 syns). I've got a mango that needs eating too so will have that with a muller at some point. My other 12 syns I will see how they're 'spent' throughout the day :) (I have 20 syns cos that's what my consultant said cos of my starting weight)

Hi everyone, I have been lurking since Christmas and now I think I've got my brain in gear, I'd like to join in please.

I did SW a couple of years ago and lost 5 st, but have put most back on.

SW really works for me so have made a batch of dynorod soup in the slow cooker overnight, put in a healthy order from. As@a, and am starting from totoday.

What finally made me realise I needed to get myself in hand was falling just before New Year and breaking my right arm, then needing to have a plate put in it.

It's lovely to see names I know, and to see you in it for the long haul.

    So,
    breakfast: porridge with prunes

lunch: left-over roast from Sunday with peas

tea and snacks: soup (beans, onion, tinned toms, lentils, peppers, etc), fruit.

milk HExA for teas, not sure yet about HexB.

WI at home Monday. Would like to get the up to date books but looked at the prices in E*ay with horror.

Hope you all have a good day, Sue

(Please excuse typing errors, doing this on my phone)

    Welcome back to SW.

Your plan is more like a Green day as it hasn't got enough SuperFrees in it, peas are only Free not SuperFree.

In order to be a Green day you could use 70g of chicken as HEB and if you had more than that then syn it at 9 syns per 100g. Your porridge is HEB so would be 2nd HEB.

With milk as HEA you would also have another HEA to use if you wanted to although you don't have to.

Hope that makes sense. Let us know if it doesn't!

Latanna - I have the London Marathon in 10 weeks - I'm proof that (a) fat girls can run marathons lol and (b) it's really hard to lose weight even when running and training for a marathon!!

But I'm 9 pounds down so it'll only get easier to run with the lard off me!!

(this will be my 6th marathon...my fastest was 5:13 and my lightest weight of 12 stone...my slowest was 5:55 and I was 14 stone 5 pounds)

Well done - I'm doing an 8 mile walk in May for charity. The most I've done before (measured) is a 6 mile charity walk.

I couldn't run to save my life! So I'm in awe of you!!

    Hi everyone!

I'm not new to Slimming World, I've done it a few times over the last few years but always manage to put the weight back on by not being strict enough with myself!

Since I last did SW I have gone Vegetarian, Dairy Free and now I'd also like to go Gluten-Free.

Does anyone here know if I'll be ok doing SW now that I'm meat, dairy and gluten free?

    Any pointers would be great!

    Thanks!
