Does anyone have a gravy recipe please?

I don't wanna make proper gravy and use 4 -6 syns on my sausage dinner later ;)

    Today's plan
    Breakfast - apple
Lunch - beans on toast with grated cheese (hexa and b) grapes and clementine
Dinner - sw chips, ww sausages (1) onion carrots mushy peas - gravy (6)
    Mango and grapes

So planned 7 syns may have a curly wurly later :)

(Sneaky wi this morning has shown movement on the thing so I'm happy)

I just use bisto for mine.. 1 syn for 1 level tsp ;)

was wondering what to have for lunch and just spotted yours.. off to make that now ;)

Apparently if you make up gravy with boiling water, chopped onions and chicken bovril then gook it for ages on the hob or in the microwave it goes thick and syrupy like proper onion gravy. I've never tried it but would be worth a go for syn free gravy? Xx

    Morning All!

I hope everyone is being good!

I am going for dinner after weigh in tonight with my other half and his parents, I know I can be really good and have Steak and Salad if I want to as we are going to the Beefeater but... Do any of you know how many syns would be in a serving of chips that comes with a meal?

If I get my half stone award tonight I may just have to treat myself!

I've looked online and can't find the syns or unfortuntately the nutritional info to work it out. I was going to use Harvester as a rough guide but they are amending their calculator at the moment :(

    Thanks in advance xxx

Working on the basis that a standard size portion of chip shop chips are 17.5, and a standard portion of fast food french fries are 11.5, I'd be tempted to guestimate at around 10 based on portion size.
That's just my humble opinion though!

By the way, McCain's rustic oven chips (frozen, skins on) are only 10 syns for the whole bag which I can get 4 very decent sized portions from. Handy to have in when you'd prefer 'proper' chips to SW ones. Xx

Mildredd - Maybe a wee plateau, they do come along for me every so often but they will pass!

I got to Stone 1 ok
Stone 1 and Stone 2 was ok as well
Getting from Stone 2 to Stone 3 was hard
Stone 3 to Stone 4 was fine
Now getting from Stone 4 to Stone 5 has been an nightmare! lol

    hoping my plateau ends soon!

    0 > 1 stone took 8 weeks
    1 > 2 stone took 11 weeks
    2 > 3 stone took 15 weeks

3 stone award achieved 18th July > 4 stone.. god knows when!?! :o

I got to needing less than a stone for target but am now back up to 1st 5lbs

    I will get there! :D
  • mcpep - try some chia seeds or linseeds in some yogurt or just mixed into some warm water...they really are wee miracles!

That's brilliant to know, thank you! I was guessing around 10 syns but I'm glad to know someone else was on the same wave length and I wasn't massively underestimating.

    xx
