i_wanna_save_money! wrote: »Hiya Everyone,
Thought I might as well join in - I've been browsing this thread the last couple of days
Well, I've got loads of weight to lose - bit embarrassed to say how much, but as time goes on and I drop the pounds I might change my mind on that. I've never dieted, was healthy & slim til I was about 24ish, then slowly but surely the pounds crept on, and I let them. It's like all of a sudden, I want to lose weight and feel the time is right to do it! So here's to getting to a healthy weight again
I joined a SW group 2 weeks ago, my first weigh in I lost 8lb :j, due my 2nd weigh in tomorrow evening, and I think I'm beginning to get my head around it all. I'm on MSE most days ( I hang around the competition boards!) so I'll pop in daily and have a chat and see how we're all getting on. Nice to 'meet' you all!
Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs and half a tin of baked beans & cup of apple tea
Lunch - pasta mixed with tuna, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, peppers & onions with 3 tbsp of Heinz lighter mayo (6 syns)
Tea - SW chips, HM burgers with 5% fat beef, 2 wholemeal rolls (HEB and 6 syns?), 30g mature cheese (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, toms & peppers.
snacks: 2 satsumas
I've still got 8 syns to play with (I'm allowed 20) but I'll probably just have an options or two later
hello and welcome,
I also have a lot to lose, so don't be embarrassed (about 12 stone), we are all here for the same goal: to be healthier, eat better and look fabulous
I didn't realise you can more syns if you are bigger, I thought 15 syns were the limit. I am doing SW from home.0 -
Weighed in today, delighted to see 2.25lbs GONE! :j:beer:
Just desperate to get that first stone gone now and get on to the rest. Want to hurry up. WHY DIDNT I DO THIS AGES AGO?!?!
lantanna, its been interesting to read about how different each stone has been for you - I've got 7 stone to lose- and it feels at times like a mission, I expect after this stone for it to get harder. I can't understand how SW can keep working- with WW they reduce your points each stone, but not with SW, right? So how does the magic keep happening?
Well done on your loss! I have 7 stone to loose too to take me to 9.13 - 4 stone 10.5 lbs gone so far. If I can do it trust me so can you!
Im not sure if it gets harder or I go through periods of treating myself more and having more nights off or if your body just gets more used to it - some people say you need to shake things up every so often to avoid plateauing etc. Lots of the time life inevitably gets in the way and I emotionally eat when face with different issueswhich definitely hinders me! But that's me and I can accept that.
Ive not been walking in ages so need to start back on that again.
It definitely does work and everybody is different - I find the weeks were I have lots of potato / pasta & sauce it restricts my losses.
Just take each half stone at a time and don't think about the bigger picture and you will get there. There are some people in my group that are close to target and don't have any syns at all in a weight as they say they can't have them! I hope I don't get to that stage as I couldn't cope! lol
I look forward to seeing how your journey pans out! Deffo posting on this forum keeps me on the straight and narrow!0 -
Oh joedenise, I'm so glad you've got an eagle eye on me! I was hoping to get away with it as I'd had no other hexa - that's me telt, as they say. Oh well, onwards and upwards - or shpuld that be downwards? Keep nagging - it's much appreciated.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400

Oh dear 2lb on week 3 (for 2b) now at top end of target. So this week I'm on plan 100% (from tomorrow! ) I'm going to have syns each day and not save for a blow out as that's when I think what's the point and carry on eating. Hope everyone having a good day.0

Morning All!
I hope everyone is being good!
I am going for dinner after weigh in tonight with my other half and his parents, I know I can be really good and have Steak and Salad if I want to as we are going to the Beefeater but... Do any of you know how many syns would be in a serving of chips that comes with a meal?
If I get my half stone award tonight I may just have to treat myself!
I've looked online and can't find the syns or unfortuntately the nutritional info to work it out. I was going to use Harvester as a rough guide but they are amending their calculator at the moment
Thanks in advance xxx0 -

Morning all - I've wondered too about how it keeps on working when there is no reduction in allowance...but I keep looking at the magazine and things for motivation and can see that loads of people have lost LOADS doing SW the way it's supposed to...I guess I'll just have to do what I'm told lol!
Food yesterday was like this:
B: 2 boiled eggs, ML and an orange
L: ham, cheese and salad sandwich, ML and orange (1 syn for salad cream)gammon steak, veggies and toms...I made a chicken pasta bake for the rest of the family and "tasted" that...but I did use oil spray not oil to cook and I used BGTY mozzarella cheese...so it's not too high in syns
S: galia melon with natural yog mixed with an options chocolate YUM!!
Today will be almost identical...I made enough pasta bake for the hoards as I have to go out tonight...
WI tomorrow so I try to keep carbs light in the couple of days before hand...it seems to be working ok...:)
Anyone notice any place where the weight is coming off...my wedding and engagement ring are getting very loose...and I feel it off around my neck and shoulder...just need it to come off my big old fat tummy!!0 -

Welcome to the Thread, you can use lighter than light mayo for only 0.5 per tbsp, thats saving you 4.5 sysn!! I actually use the aldo one which is only 89p.
Dont be embarrassed by how much you have to lose, no one is here to judge, we are all here for the same reason whether its 10 stone or 1 stone. Good luck on your journey & fab loss on your first week! :T
