It's all too easy to get stuck in a rut of the same meals over and over and it will slow your metabolism. Changing things round gives it a kick start. Xx
Think you may have something here. My transit time has never been good IYSWIM and I honestly thought with all the fresh cook from scratch food that this would have improved - it hasn't, if anything its worse. I am eating a lot of salad and I am also having 2 x alpen lights as my breakfast every day plus an apple or banana (not both) this is because it is easier for me to have a 'bar' with a cup of coffee at home and then another at playtime at work by doing this I have not been tempted by the biccies and cakes that are alway present in the staffroom! but I take your point that maybe I need to up the fluids. I do not like herbal teas but have found one that I can tolerate so I will switch to that during the day. I think I restrict fluids because I get up at least twice in the night for the loo.
Thank you for your help - I will try any suggestions.0 -

I am doing this at home so no consultant just this online group!
I will try to get at least a 10min walk in everyday to see if that helps.0 -
Hiya Everyone,
Thought I might as well join in - I've been browsing this thread the last couple of days
Well, I've got loads of weight to lose - bit embarrassed to say how much, but as time goes on and I drop the pounds I might change my mind on that. I've never dieted, was healthy & slim til I was about 24ish, then slowly but surely the pounds crept on, and I let them. It's like all of a sudden, I want to lose weight and feel the time is right to do it! So here's to getting to a healthy weight again
I joined a SW group 2 weeks ago, my first weigh in I lost 8lb :j, due my 2nd weigh in tomorrow evening, and I think I'm beginning to get my head around it all. I'm on MSE most days ( I hang around the competition boards!) so I'll pop in daily and have a chat and see how we're all getting on. Nice to 'meet' you all!
Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs and half a tin of baked beans & cup of apple tea
Lunch - pasta mixed with tuna, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, peppers & onions with 3 tbsp of Heinz lighter mayo (6 syns)
Tea - SW chips, HM burgers with 5% fat beef, 2 wholemeal rolls (HEB and 6 syns?), 30g mature cheese (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, toms & peppers.
snacks: 2 satsumas
I've still got 8 syns to play with (I'm allowed 20) but I'll probably just have an options or two later0 -

If you think digestion may be a problem, then there are plenty of free foods that are fiberous. Try to include a dose of those every day. Examples include;
All types of beans, including baked beans, cannellini, haricot, pinto, kidney beans etc.
Chick peas, mushy peas, petit pois, split peas.
Quorn products
Veg such as artichoke, sprouts, garlic, okra, seaweed.
Fruit such as blackberries, blackcurrants, passion fruit and cranberries.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I find it easier with fluids to have certain amounts at certain times.
I get a pint of water with my breakfast before I leave the house and have at least a litre during my working day, often a litre and a half. I then make sure I pour a pint when I get in. Any other fluids are a 'bonus' in my eyes and I'm not up all night weeing as I go to bed a good six hours after I get in.0
