Hi Suki!
As Shala says maybe they missed your post! Which I clearly have or else I've skimmed it quickly and thought that it doesn't apply to me as I'm not there yet.
Congrats on making your target!
No jealously from me here!
Its a journey and one you have to stay on so its great to hear from someone at target and how they manage as one day I hope to be doing that too. Maman is always a good source of advice and a healthy approach!
Personally when I get to target I imagine I will do SW 90 % of the time and have a few more treats - will try to be very good during the week and then have treats come the weekend.
Have you thought about changing your target for a lower weight if you keep ending up there? Or would you like to stay as you were as such? Perhaps you could ask your consultant on how to maintain.
I have noticed that people in my group once they get to target they are kind of abandoned and tbh seldom come back! There should be more support for target members as its definitely not the end of the story!
How much did you loose and how long did it take you?
2b you are quiet this week? How are you getting on?
Hi lantanna - thanks for your reply
I only had about 1.5 stones to lose and it took me about 6 months - I have been at target for just over a year now.
I have thought about lowering my target but I am down to a size 8 now (I am 5' 4" and weight 8st 3lb) so really don't want to lose anymore, like maman says, I think I would look to scrawny .
I don't go to group but rely on you lovely lot here for support :T.
As I just said in my previous post, I have started to have a few meals 'off-plan' at the weekends - if that seems to work I will carry on for a while but keep things in check if the weight starts to creep back on.
Thanks to everyone for the good advice - have a great day all0 -
I personally love that there's target members on here who are maintaining that target and aren't taking the official line of its so easy to get there and stay there?
There is zero members at target at my group - not even the consultant and a couple who have been there and are now bigger than they first started at?
People at target are inspiring on here because its achievable and real?
I think target must be a case of finding a balance between 100% sw and former habits that make it possible xStarted sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

Sukeyboo, Maman & Denise - i certainly dont feel like you are "rubbing my nose " in it when you post about struggling to maintain. I am glad of your input along with all the other posters on this thread.
As for diets - i have been dieting on & off for some 14 years (:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:) now - i have mostly followed WW, Atkins, Slimfast ( lost shed loads on SF but put all on when i started eating proper meals instead of shakes ) Calorie counting (tried 1200 cals & 1500 cals- lasted a few weeks whilst doing both & fell back into my old ways ).
I tried SW for the first time in Feb 2012 - preferred SW as you can eat as much as you like (with certain foods) but struggled with syns & the fruit aspect as previously i had only ever eaten dried fruit. Gave up & started again a couple more times (truth be told - my heart wasnt in it & i wasn't ready to stop eating junk food ). In hindsight total waste of money by keeping signing back up:o.
Anyway late last year i had my light bulb moment & i felt like i was ready to cut down eating crap food so i restarted SW - this time a few things have changed - Firstly i am doing it from home. Secondly i started eating fruit on a regular basis (during the year i had off SW ) without forcing myself too. I discovered that i actually enjoyed eating an apple or an orange or a banana which i swore blind i would never eat because i didnt like the taste or the texture.
I also started eating more grains - quinoa/bulgar wheat/beans (not baked beans - those bad boys make me PARP something chronic) but beans. I have slowly incorporated these types of foods into my diet & have been slowly cutting down on pasta & rice (although i do still eat both & have no plans to stop eating them). Thirdly i have stopped having a pop at myself if i have only lost 0.5 or 1lb. Its better off than on. Loosing weight is not a race - its something i have to take slowly - although i knew this previously it wasnt something that had really "sunk in" so to speak. It is a long hard process having to loose the excess weight but i will get there - ONE DAY and when i get to that point i hope i am able to keep the weight off because i will have learnt alternative eating habits in the mean time.
Sorry for the long waffle

is it a new group? or do people just come & go a lot due to the "tutting consultant"?

That looks more like a Green Day to me ruby, then you needn't syn the laughing cow or the milk either (haven't worked it out but I'm sure you could make up a HEA between them and the some) and you'd have a HEB going spare.
I hadn't noticed that! Thanks for pointing it out maman! Might treat myself to a hot chocolate made with (skimmed) milk later in order to pad out the extra HEXEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

I'm not sure what ETA stands for (new to this forum business!) but they are absolutely amazing! I must make some more soon!
Re other diets. I have tried healthy eating, just cutting out the rubbish & eating salads for lunch quite a lot of years back. I lost one stone, then got to the weight I wanted to be and put two stone back on!
I joined WW and I did enjoy the diet, I'd always save my points for some of their pudding range, but I got bored of counting points for everything very easily so didn't stick to it.
SW is my third attempt, and hopefully last! I am really enjoying it so far as it is something that I can stick to for life and I'm at the stage now where I kind of know what I'm doing and what is/isn't syn free so am not always having to check what I eat.

Thanks RFD - i'm trying to avoid processed meat as its mad in salt but the new potatoes thing sounds yum! I love cold potatoes.. don't know why i didn't hink of it in the first place.. might make a bit of dip to go with it too!
How about buying a chicken & cooking it yourself? That way you know whats in the meat plus you can use some of the meat for meals too?they are all 35g regardless of sugar or no added sugar so looks like you can take your pick(within reason no chocolate lol)
Thanks - good to know. I am really excited about having museli now
