Am I the only one who sits here willing it to be weigh in day?! Not just so my syns start over but because I'm excited to see how well I've done this week?
I am 22 and have followed the following diets:
Weight Watchers twice going to groups and once by myself - Like others I found myself hungry and the pro points just didn't work for me.
Cambridge Diet - I needed a quick fix before holiday and lost a stone in a month, not a sustainable way of living!
Calorie Counting - I lost 2.5 stone calorie counting just when I started 6th form along with an awful lot of exericse, but when I started a desk job it all went downhill!
Happy Tuesday one and all, only 2 more days until weigh in! I just have to resist the work colleagues birthday cake tomorrow. :A

I get a bit excited and impatient for WI as well. I get to that stage when I just want to know as Im very impatient lol
However I am trying to condition myself not to get so hung up on it every week as I am becoming a little obsessed and end up in a very bad mood if I've not lost.
There is no filling me at all today - I don't know if it is because I am stressed, nervous, the weather is bad - or I'm just plain greedy but I could murder something bad for t!! lol0 -

YES, I quite often wish it was weigh day. Well I say often, only when I'm being good which could do with being more often!
Forgot to say I've also done Jenny Craig for two weeks (I was sent it free to review for my blog). I lost 8lb in two weeks and the food was okay, it was just so expensive it wasn't practical.0 -

Thanks Leanna for the link, i'll try the pizza again at some point when i can bring myself too :rotfl:i think it's the idea of cauliflower puts me off!arsenalbarnie wrote: »I shall therefore be leaving this thread, as now don't feel welcome.I always read the posts on here but don't post very often as I feel that when I do, I don't get much response as my problem is that I keep going below my target range and I struggle to maintain. I may be wrong but I get the feeling that annoys some of the other posterswhich I can understand as they are struggling to lose weight.
No one is singled out anywhere on this thread and everyone always helps where they can - in January the thread moves very fast as so many new people join so if someone doesn't answer a question it's may be because it hasn't been seen - just ask it again - and put it in bold.
Sukey boo - no one is annoyed at you being under target, but i'm afraid there isn't many of us that have the experience in that area to help you. Again if you feel like someone has missed your question then please ask again.
People are helping as much as they can, when they can, whilst holding down full time jobs and looking after families.
maman - you put it in better words than I could
Mildredd - if you don't come back i'm gonna stalk you :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

they are all 35g regardless of sugar or no added sugar so looks like you can take your pick(within reason no chocolate lol)You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -
sukey, I'm in exactly your position. I've been at target for almost 2.5 years and I've never been above my target range but I've often fallen below and even had to pay! I don't want to drop to a lower target because I think I'd start to look scrawny.
I often feel the need to apologise and don't post some of the off-plan meals as it doesn't seem fair.
I choose not to follow the scant SW advice on maintaining. I'd prefer to have a few off-plan meals and extra syns than just have extra HEXs. That's my choice so whenever I post 'tweaks' I always say it's not the 'official line'. I don't want to lead anyone astray. But if there's any way I can help you (or anyone else) based on my experiences then I will gladly.
I love this thread as it has more open discussion than ever happened in my group. God forbid we all respond to every post with :T :T:Teven if you've gained and then 'Were you expecting it? What are you hoping for next week' r some other repetitive platitude!0 -
I've done so many diets over the years!
meal replacements.. celebrity slim, slim fast, lipotrim (torture!)
lost weight with these but quickly put it back on when eating 'proper' food again..
WW, rosemary conley, atkins...
I think SW is the only one that's suited me and even though my journey is taking a while and has been rather hilly i'm looking at it for the long term and have totally changed the way I eat and look at food.. still some demons to banish but i'm only human
good luck for WI's this week everyone x0 -
Hi Suki!
As Shala says maybe they missed your post! Which I clearly have or else I've skimmed it quickly and thought that it doesn't apply to me as I'm not there yet.
Congrats on making your target!
No jealously from me here!
Its a journey and one you have to stay on so its great to hear from someone at target and how they manage as one day I hope to be doing that too. Maman is always a good source of advice and a healthy approach!
Personally when I get to target I imagine I will do SW 90 % of the time and have a few more treats - will try to be very good during the week and then have treats come the weekend.
Have you thought about changing your target for a lower weight if you keep ending up there? Or would you like to stay as you were as such? Perhaps you could ask your consultant on how to maintain.
I have noticed that people in my group once they get to target they are kind of abandoned and tbh seldom come back! There should be more support for target members as its definitely not the end of the story!
How much did you loose and how long did it take you?
2b you are quiet this week? How are you getting on?0 -

Thanks shala & maman - I am very aware of the fact that I might be 'rubbing people's nose in it' by complaining about struggling to maintain but it can be hard sometimes
. I do try and stick with the extra HEX's but still find I am losing weight. The last few weeks I have upped my syns too by having the odd meal out 'off-plan' and that seems to have helped a bit.
Mildredd - please don't leave - as various other people have mentioned, things can get difficult when the thread moves so fast but we are usually quite a 'happy family' that rub along OK0
