Morning all (just!!) - just read back on all the posts...I had a good weekend - thing is I didn't write down my food which makes me feel a bit lost but I know for a fact that I didn't go off plan or out of my syns.
Now I did an 8 mile run on Saturday...the funny thing about the longs runs is that it kills my appetite as opposed to making me too hungry. Does anyone know if you're supposed to eat more food if you are doing a lot of training (my running is slow...12 minute miles...but I can keep on going...) so I was running (jogging?) for over an hour and a half.
I really want to make sure that I do this plan properly (I don't go to classes so I don't know how the "body magic" works) and I would really be grateful for any advice on this subject. I do have a bowl of porridge before I go out my run - to make sure I have enough energy.
Food today:
B: 2 boiled eggs, vanilla ML and fruit (mandarin and a pear)
L: ham and egg salad sandwich (HEXb) fruit and yogI'm going to make the macaroni cheese dish from the mag (HEXa) with salad
Hope you all have a good day (I really would love someone to reply to my posts...I know there are loads of people posting here but sometimes I feel my post get lost in the crowd....sorry! having a needy day!!)0 -
Hi gingerfurball - personally I would think you need to eat more due to the hour and a half running, but if your not hungry then no point eating!
Well done on being able to run/job for so long!0 -
Hi all
I'm back on track today and feeling confident! So far I have eaten weetabix, milk & banana for breakfast, an apple, salad with ham, chicken and mint & cucumber cottage cheese (Tesco Healthy Living, not sure if its Syn free or not but it is gorgeous!) and a scan bran cake that I made yesterday which isn't the nicest thing ever but its only 1.5 syns. I'm making pork biryani for tea and some quark/chocolate options mousse for pudding.
I'm actually looking forward to my weigh in on Friday for a change!
I noticed someone mention cauliflower rice earlier, I haven't tried that myself but have tried cauliflower pizza - I can confirm that that is amazing.0 -
Ginger furball I would say eat if you are hungry and try to have 3 square meals a day or such as it will keep your metabolism ticking over.
Sorry if you have felt a bit neglected on the forum! I can be guilty of reading very quickly and commenting as much as I could at the minute as I am flat out with other things !
Just shout if you need more attention lol0 -
Hi everyone! I had such a great week 2 weeks ago (lost 3.8 lbs) but had a very bad week last week and put it all back on. Have dusted myself off and started again today:
Breakfast - Activia 0% fat blueberry yogurt with 2 plums
Lunch - Tomato and pepper soup (but with loads of superfree in there too like leeks and courgettes), 2 clementines, 1 laughing cow light blue cheese triangle (1.5 syns)
Dinner - No idea yet, we're going food shopping tonight but will make sure it's free regardless!
Have also filled a box with cucumber sticks, slices of green pepper and some cherry tomatoes to snack on during the day. Wait and see you'll have a big loss next week and will be back on it with gusto
Applause for your honesty0 -
4lb loss for me today :j:j:j
Despite me having a binge on Friday night after the funeral of DA I have managed to lose 4lbs. When we got home on Friday I made SW chips, baked beans and dry fried egg. I was feeling quite happy with my effort:quite virtuous really as I had nothing except rice and salad at funeral lunch.
Later that night I had two slices of Christmas cake and almost a whole bottle of white wine.
My family took me out for Birthday lunch today and I had Chicken Korma with half rice and half chips. There were no vegetables with my meal so DS2 gave me a huge chunk of cauliflower. I will fill up with fruit later today instead of a big meal tonight.
I also had my porridge for HEB this morning and milk in tea in pub, and at home, at least 5 mugs so far!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sorry if you're feeling a bit neglected.
If I'm honest, I'm very poor at Body Magic. For me it's just laziness but anyone who has mobility issues needn't worry as I'm living proof that you can lose without the exercise. If you do exercise then it will help with toning and feel-good factor but, unlike some 'diets', SW doesn't give any extra syns or anything for burning calories.
The booklets say that Body Magic is about increasing the amount of exercise you do over time and ideally doing some on 5 days a week. So an example is to build from 10 minutes to 15 minutes to 30 minutes of whatever exercise you do 5 days a week. But it would depend on your lifestyle so sometimes not always possible 5 days.
So your run is about 5 days worth on the lowest (Bronze Award). To improve you would need to speed up or run further IYSWIM. SW do recommend a little and often so perhaps you could do a shorter run more often and then work on speeding up.
I looked at your meal plan and I'd suggest you call it Green. Assuming your ham wasn't a massive amount (HEB's worth)then you could have another HEA (more cheese?).
HTH.
I'm not exactly struggling but eating out quite a bit at the moment so lots of potential syns creeping in. I won't be going to WI this week so on the plus side have plenty of time to rein myself back in.
One good thing I've done is to cook a big piece of gammon (some for tonight's supper and plenty left), make lentil and veg soup from the stock (6 big portions) and 12 burgers from a pack of the Asda £5 5% mince. So loads of SW meals in the freezer.0
