Mrs Christmas - looking at your food diary you don't seem to be eating enough. I'd feel permanently hungry if that was all I was eating!

"Full fat" hot chocolate is 5 syns per 25g so depending on how much you put into it you could easily go over your syns some days.

Thought I had my plan all worked out for today but having read some of these plans I'm beginning to have second thoughts about some but this is what's planned at the moment but is subject to change, LOL!

    Red day today:

B - Scrambled eggs on WM toast (HEB1)
L - Prawns & crabstick salad, FF dressing
D - Salt & Pepper haddock, Wedges (HEB2) gherkins (2.5 syns for breadcrumbs)

Not sure what else but have fruit & yoghurts to snack on. Will have a couple of glasses of red tonight.

Dinner - sw roasties, sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot n swede mash and m&s steak in gravy :)
Evening snack in front of tv - 2 clementines and my ryvita minis (hexb)

Thanks joedenise, wasn't aware of that - I'll go and check what I had. They were frozen. Hmm they are 1 syn each, so need to reevaluate my "virtue" ;) That makes yesterday 11.5 syns and starting out with a baseline of 4 planned syns today instead of 2. Jings, there is so much to look out for. Don't particularly enjoy quorn sausages, but when I thought they were free, they tasted better lol. I'll need to watch what I'm buying or just do without in future.

  • Morning All!

Great to see so many people happy with their losses :j

I weighed in last night and lost 2lbs. I haven't been 100% this week so very happy with that.

Can't wait for payday so I can restock my fridge with lovely superfree fruits! Always find it more of a struggle at the end of the month when the purse strings are tighter.

Have a great weekend all! xx
  • Morning all - WI today and a 3lb loss *happy dance* so that gives me my first SW 1/2 stone (in two weeks which makes me happy).

We have a business trip in 3 weeks which normally includes a lot of smoozhing and wining and dining. We stay in a Premier in so the breakfast will be fine...and I can get fruit and yogurt for lunches...I'll just have to watch out for the evening meals. Sometimes it's in an Italian restaurant so that should be ok...and sometimes we go to the bosses house - which means we're totally at the mercy of what they cook and serve. But it is 3 weeks away and I could be a stone down by then so I'll worry about it then!!

Food today is something like this:

B: 2 boiled eggs, yog and fruit
L: ham and cheese sandwich (yum!) with extra low fat salad cream (1 syn?) with yog and fruit
D: to be decided...I can never figure out what to have for tea this early!!

Week 2 weigh in just happened & I stayed the same.
Guess I'm not being strict enough but can't see that I'm going very wrong?
Take the last 2 days for example
    B: yogurt, cereal bar
    S: banana
    L: Crustless quiche
    T: none
I did have gin & crackers & ham in the evening :o

    Yesterday
    B: yogurt, banana
    S: cereal bar
    L: 2 poached eggs & 1/2 tin beans
    S: 4 satsuma
T: lentil Dahl with other half of beans
    S: hot chocolate

Compared to my diet before of bread, wine & crisps I thought it would be coming off quicker!
    Still, onwards & upwards/downwards!

I have reached page 131 of the previous thread & Nessie has almost had her baby :T

    Today will be
    B: yogurt, fruit
    S: cereal bar
L: jacket pot. 1/2 tin beans
T: slow cooked chicken & veg
    S: hot chocolate

I will say now that my yogurts are ski yogurts & my hot chocolate is a full fat shops own because I don't like the thought of sweeteners. Having said that I'd have still thought I'd be under my syn allowance?

Just had 2 slips during the week... Crisp sandwich (Wholemeal bread) Friday eve & gin, crackers & ham Wednesday eve ....
Ok... Can see now why I've stayed the same! :D

I'm finding it hard to work out which plan you're following Extra Easy or Green? Which are your HEAs and HEBs? Do you measure your meat? Are the cereal bars on the approved list? Are your HEAs the milk in hot chocolate? You definitely need more SF veg, beans don't count? I'd suggest you write out your mealplan in a little more detail which will focus you on the essentials of the plan. HTH.
  • Thank you for the replies. Ouch... Didn't think hot chocolate would be that much!
I'll cut it out for a week & see how that goes.
Regarding SF's i will try & get more in at the weekend as no chance to get to the shops until tomorrow & .. I'm just poor until payday now so making the best with what's in the stock cupboard.
I really struggle to eat everything we're supposed too.
Take today for instance, have only just had my yogurt & narna, will have my cereal bar in an hr & then I'm off to work until evening so will miss the jacket & beans I had planned for lunch!
I'll have the slow cooked chicken & veg already to go for tea, where as before Friday night tea would be wine, crisps ... Maybe a kebab & then a hangover food day & more wine the next evening :o
It's all about the planning & being better prepared for me.
I will take some fruit to have on my 15min break later.

    Enjoy your Fridays everyone x

hi everyone.. great losses again, everyone is doing so well :)

working most of the weekend, that will be my tester - am there 24hrs and that's when I start nibbling naughty stuff.. am fine at home so have to knock it on the head and make sure I go prepared with better options!

    today is looking like..
    B: 2 Weetabix + banana (A+B)
L: veg / lentil / mixed beans soup.. not quite speed as no toms in ;)
T: chicken jambalaya again.. counted this for 1.5 yesterday but has made 2 meals so will be less.. dessert, muller + fruit
snack: choc caramel slim fast bar (4.5)

water + black coffee for drinks
  • Thanks for the welcomes :) Well done on so many great losses!

I'm still struggling to get back into my SW habits after a very naughty Christmas. I am going to plan meals for next week and do a big healthy shop at the weekend, hopefully I will get back on track next week then.

Any must have snack recommendations to help get me back into the swing of things?
