    STS :(.

Had a carp week, drank for 3 nights this week, so only myself to blame. Don't you just hate b**tchy woman, I won't go into details other than to say I resorted to the wine for succour.

I want to try and get back onto plan, but not feeling it. I am not even sure I want to post this, as there is so much positivityI don't want to put a dampner on it.

    Must try harder.......

don't worry about posting when you are not feeling it, that is what we are all here for, for praise when things go well, and support and a listening ear when things aren't going so well. I have stopped and started so many times and just dropped away from this thread but I really, really want to lose this burden of being obese, so good or bad weeks, I am going to be here.

Give yourself a break if you need it but don't give up. Think of what you want and be kind to yourself.

It helps to post, particularly when you are struggling, we're all here to support you. You might find it helps to post your menus to help you keep on track - it certainly seems to help me - most of the time, LOL!

    Morning all

Well done to those with losses .....and to those who are a little disappointed "a loss is a loss -every ounce off is a step in the right direction" :T I will remember that myself when I have those weeks where I want to kick the scales :rotfl:.

Well lovely MrM is going after work to get me some new scales :kisses: he offered bless his socks - so all being well and there being no nation wide scale shortage I WILL be weighing in first thing tomorrow :p

    I can't really decide what day I want today EE/red/green ??????

I have another one of my "don't really fancy anything" days on again  -I guess I will play it safe and Say Im going EE and then I can always adapt it if need be.. so then hmmmmmm off the top of my head it might look like this...
    500ml semi (2hexA) -that's the easy bit :D
    fruit - that's another easy choice :D
dinner I think will be either salmon and salad or egg salad..and I guess I will fill the rest in as I go along :o

So far this morning I have managed to portion up the bolognaise and stuck the Goan pork in the slow cooker and fetched the other slow cooker down -just need to put the Chinese pork in one crock and get a chilli unde rway in the other one....I figure that at least if I have those things in the freezer then even if only hubby eats them it takes the pressure off me to feel I should be eating things that I know that hubby will love even if I don't fancy them -does that make sense???:rotfl:

I guess I had better get off and get those slow cookers into action...have a lovely day everyone and keep at it...

    That's amazing!!

I should just enjoy it if I were you and stick with what you're doing. It's unlikely to be that much every week but it's 10lbs GONE!!!

Thanks Maman - I have kept the peice of paper from the boots machine :o. Thats the most weight i have lost in one go EVER . I feel pleased on one hand but on the other i am "hmm should i be worrying about this & is it healthy"..

The only thing i can think of is that the fact it was *week must have contributed in some way (ie i was carrying extra water pounds) and maybe because it was just after xmas and i was carrying alcohol water pounds? .

    Arkers -

Have many weeks like that - sometimes life just gets in the way but you will get there in the end if you stick at it :)

I've kissed goodbye to 63 lbs and there have been many trying times along the way......

I think education is a lot to blame. When I was at school no one ever talked about healthy eating - lunch was chips and chips - crisps were freely available and you had a two course lunch in primary school everyday.

No one ever talked about a healthy diet - consequences etc - I'm only 34 so its not like it was really that long ago either!

Mind you same way no one ever taught me about Money either!!

Agree with these comments ^^. I have never been taught how to manage my money and made some very stupid decisions in my early 20's & 30's which until last year i was mostly still paying for. I am very much guilty of trying to keep up with the jonses and got myself in a real pickle :o. Fortunately the majority of my debts have now been paid off (still have a couple to go but balance is slowing going down :T)

With regards to food - we too didnt have any health & nutrition education. School meals consisted of chips/pizza & lots of other junk foods. I cant EVER remember seeing anything that was healthy =salads or similar . What i know now i have learnt over the past 10 years and tbh i am still learning about what works for me.

Food & Obesity is a very complicated issue and one that doesnt have one simple solution. There are so many reasons why people maybe obese - for me my triggers are unhappiness/loneliness, worries about the future (from a financial perspective). These aspects boil down to lack of control & i guess food is one thing i DO have control over.

Another point for me is the lack of education when it comes to making meals on a tight budget that are nutritious, filling and easy to make. No one (from my generation/younger generations)seems to know how to cook any more (not BAKE but cook). This is also something i have had to teach myself.

Like Maman says rfd, I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as it is only the one week - see what happens next week and then maybe cut the 'fast day' out if you are still losing too much.

Thank you. Yes will see what happens next week. :D

    A query please
I love a good sausage! And on SW i like snacking on them as they are syn free/low syns if you choose the Sains or Tesc low fat cumberland. However they are pretty bland and tasteless.

Has anyone tried any better ones that are of very low syn value?

Do you like veggie sausages? If so the rosemary & red onion sausages by Linda McCartney are divine and are also syn free.
