Maman - I have that programme taped so look forward to watching, I know it is easy to think how and why -but I was looking at a pic of myself from last year and at the time I couldn't see how big I was.
I think education is a lot to blame. When I was at school no one ever talked about healthy eating - lunch was chips and chips - crisps were freely available and you had a two course lunch in primary school everyday.
No one ever talked about a healthy diet - consequences etc - I'm only 34 so its not like it was really that long ago either!
Mind you same way no one ever taught me about Money either!!
And yes before anyone starts I am responsible for what I put in my mouth and what and how I spend - but trust me when I was a kid it was just eat what was put in front of you with no consideration or talk of health, obesity, 5 a day or weight!
I often think I would love to start again with a completely new body - one which I would look after better and never let get fat! I think for some obese people it must some seem like an impossible challenge so they just stay the same.0 -

lunch - Uncle Ben's risotto bacon & mushroom, 6syns (couldn't find med veg one ), fruit
dinner - Singapore beef, 1 syn followed by fruit and ff greek yogurt,
In the end It was chicken & mushroom risotto, so only 4 Syns. My fruit was an orange and grapes. I chose 2 Alpen Light bars for hexb and 30g cheddar chunk for hexa, so I was quite happy with that.
Today
Breakfast: porridge with hexa milk
Lunch: chicken noodles, rasps and ff yogurt
Dinner: lamb stew with couscous (0.5 Syn) followed by meringue nest with strawberries and ML vanilla yogurt (3 syns).
That leaves plenty of scope for my snacks.

Wow - some amazing losses on here today - especially rfd & xjoanne - congratulations :T.
Like Maman says rfd, I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as it is only the one week - see what happens next week and then maybe cut the 'fast day' out if you are still losing too much.
Welcome pooler-leanne - there are a few of us that don't go to group on here (me included) and those that do are really helpful with syn values and checking menus etc.0 -
I do fancy that Quark pudding though...I must have a rootle round Sainsbugs and see if they have any (our local one has expanded recently and they have actually dropped a lot of their range! To make room for a bunch of new stuff which is rubbish!!)0

thank you, :j:j
I have just looked up Joedenise's recipe for the hoisin sausages, was in Sainsb and was buying sausages when I thought of them, lol bought the hoisin sauce etc. Just copying and pasting the recipe in here for easiness so I can find it later on when I need it.
20 pork cocktail sausages - I used pkt BGTY cumberland cut in 4
2 level tbsp hoisin sauce
4 tbsp tomato pur!e
4 tbsp dark soy sauce
¼ tsp sweetener
¼ tsp dried red chilli flakes
Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a dish and then put the cut up sausages and turn to coat. Try to get them into a single layer.
Cook in a pre-heated oven for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees. I turned them in the sauce halfway through cooking although to ensure they were coated more evenly.
They sound lovely and can't wait to try them.
edited to add: I didn't realise hoisin sauce is 2 syns per tblspoon, so the whole recipe made with Sainsb. pack of sausages (8 x 0.5 syn) and the marinade will come to 8 syns, is that correct?0
