    Hi all,

    Todays menu is

B - Magic Porridge (35g of Oats & Mullerlight Toffee)

L - HM Veg Soup with a Mugshot for flavour
    Pear, 2 Satsumas

T - Chicken with the rest of HM Soup.

    2 Teas, 3 Water

    1 finger of KitKat

    Am i right in thinking that B = 1HEA & 1HEB ?

Your muller light yogurt would have been free, so unless you had milk in your magic porridge then it would have just been a HEB.

Was it nice? I've never given it a go as it sounds too wrong.. Might have to try it one day.

  • Shala_moo,

Thanks for your reply, Yes the Magic porridge was ok, had it made with the toffee muller today was quite sweet though, will try it with the vanilla one tomorrow. Not as nice as Alpen in the morning but ok for a change.
My mind tends to wander............If found please return;)

Weigh in today(well Monday which is technically yesterday I notice) for me and very pleased to report 2lb loss this week!!! Happy bunny as this is week 2 and I've lost more than last week.

Just got back from the Barbican tonight and managed to stick to the plan. Pret do fresh fruit and a very small bar of dark chocolate which we shared on the journey home. We also bought salad and extra chicken from Marks and Sparks and had a picnic in the Barbican. We normally would have been saying this was an 'oh we're out, we must treat ourselves to a pile of cake' event, but we sourced the right stuff and now we're feeling quite SMUG!!!!

..so I like the idea of chopping it down to 60g - maybe that'll be toty though! I wonder if I could work out the total syns, then deduct the 6 allowed for hexb and count the rest as syns.

That is probably a good idea - I actually like the crust on HM bread, it's much nicer than shop bought. I don't make bread very often but I do enjoy a slice or two occasionally but as I'm at target it's not such a problem.

Another EE day for me today:

    B - 2 x LO sausages (2); scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms in butter (2)
    L - HM chicken & veg soup
D - pork steak, mustard mash, green beans, brussels, gravy (2)

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - not decided yet
    Syns - sausages 2; gravy 2; butter 2

Want to keep syns down a bit as WI tomorrow and with today's syns will have had 101 syns this week:T so within allowance - just.

As Shala_Moo says, did you use milk for your magic porridge? If so that would be HEA which would mean that you would need to syn the milk in your tea (assuming you drink white tea), although I doubt it would have been enough milk to HEA.

  • Ladies & gentlemen ... & frogs ;)

    First of all, good morning!
I just had to jump on & say how much I have enjoyed reading through your posts the last few days...there have been some right ~laugh out loud~ moments following them... (FROGGA... You're so funny!!) The ups & downs ....the recipes & tips .... your support for each other.
Currently I am on page 89 of last years thread (part 2) :D

Before I get lost in another days reading, I just wanted to pick you up Frogga on something you said about not having treats or rewards to look forward too in your day other than food because your not a girlie girl or like shopping. I'm exactly them same, I hate all forms of shopping too but I have 2 words for you ... Sanctuary Spa. Somebody brought me a set for my birthday last year & I've been addicted ever since. It's a lovely indulgent treat to look forward too at the beginning & end of the day. And, though we might not have to shop ... Everyone has to wash, right? Even frogs!! :rotfl: Might as well do it in style...

So anyway, food wise I'm doing ok. Yesterday was fruit, yogurt, cereal bar for breakfast. Crustless quiche for lunch ( it had red onion, red pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms & cottage cheese in ) Lovely.... Going to make it again today.
I wasn't going to have any tea as was quite full up on the quiche but I could feel myself cracking ... Edging further & further towards the gin & Kettle crisps, so made SW chips & mushy peas.
So then I went to bed feeling 'this isn't right' 'I never going to lose weight, I'm eating too much?!'
Guess I'm just going to have to hand my trust over for this one.

Today is my last day off work, so I'm going to finish off the hm cabbage soup in the fridge & make the quiche again & drink lots of water ... Going for a 'push' day.

How do you make magic porridge please? I NEED to find alternative HEXB options to bread that I like, not a fan of many cereals and I need my milk for tea anyway!

Is it only ryvita minis that are free? Ordered some Alpen lights from Mr T yesterday so going to give those a try but I rarely find cereal bars filling :(

    Today:

Breakfast - Trimmed bacon, poached egg, plum tomatoes x 2 with juice and mushrooms done in Frylight on HEXB toast with a cup of tea and a bottle of water. Had this at 6.45 as I'm in a meeting until 12 this morning and will be starving.

Dinner - Tuna pasta salad (2 syns) and some chopped melon in fat free fromage frais.

Tea - Superfart soup/minced beef hash depending on what I fancy. Probably soup in damage limitation exercise :( Some type of low fat crisps (5ish syns) and carrot sticks with HM pate (1 syn)

Supper - Hot chocolate (2 syns)
