Good morning
I am up, showered & dressed - which is a definite improvement on the last week!! I have also had a cuppa, cleaned the shower, toilet & sink and checked my bank accounts and shuffled a few quids.
Next move - toast & another cuppa!
I think I may have a delivery today *excited smiliy* I decided to do a belated Secret Santa - and as I am self-employed I didn't put a limit on itI have ordered myself an ipad mini!! They said it would be delivered by 7/1 - but the tracking says it is at my local depot
We have had a tough year money wise, but things are looking up. DH now has a job, my work is busier & my godmother gave me some money (she had unclaimed pension from when she was 65 - she is now 104!!) - so I deserve a treat. I am also sitting on new sofas as the old ones were ripped & broken! yay me! I need to spend the rest wisely so need to prioritise. I should pay off some debt, but that doesn't seem like fun
I would prefer to get some things done in here that I couldn't otherwise afford - like getting the hole in DD's bedroom ceiling fixed!!
Anyway - better get a wriggle on as this isn't getting stuff done! Tea, toast - then getting the vac & the vax out from under the stairs! I may end up waking a couple of teens! Mwhahhahaha!0 -
In my HHC I've
Unloaded and reloaded WM
Unloaded and reloaded TD
Cleared drainer
Washed dishes
Now I'm going to have a look at the instructions for my new SC, although I can't imagine it being much different to my old one, and then I'll start again.
Another HHC @ 10 anyone?NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Extras
New year, New you, what would you like to learn to do this year (much more inspiring than the same old loosing weight and exercising) - for me it is to make sourdough rolls and learn more knitting techniques - This is a Toots list in itself - basically it's getting my act back together again - because of this year's £ worries, things that would seem usual to most people sometimes got put on the very back boiler (and in some cases, even fell off!) So, for starters, cookery from scratch/meal plan; start reading again and others too numerous to mention!

Count some blessings from the year gone by
Chill something fizzy to toast the New Year

Can steamed veggies be used as a pie filling? I've got enough veg to last until next Christmas :rotfl:and thought about this late last night. My original plan was to chop some sausages, fry them, add some veggies and put a flavoured mash topping on to make a sort of pie. But then I thought it would be more healthy to steam the veg but didn't know if that would be possible ..... Thanks for any advice.

I'm having a lazy few days after tearing about over the weekend - just doing odds and sods really, but I am pleased to inform you that both my ironing baskets are now empty and will stay that way at least until Thursday - Happy New Year to one and all! x

Morning ladies! I really don't feel inspired by this weather, I just want to hibernate.
However, I have an hour before dropping DS2 for work, so I'll go do the kitchen....
Hi Froddington! Yes, all well here. DS1 is now running his own business, although currently in Madrid visiting girlfriend. DS2 finished his A levels, got his B, and his place at Bath Spa, where he has been since late Sept, and is loving it! DD and I visited in halfterm as missing him badly. DD is applying now for uni, fingers crossed! I have been working full time on and off covering for colleagues over past year, hence disappearing from Flylady. I hope you are well!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Every New Year I get a case of the Raging Cleanies, as I love to wake up fresh on NYD (I get an early night on NYE!) and start as I mean (rather, hope) to go on...organised, in control and happy. I'll be doing the lists (and then some) so that hopefully come next week, I'll be able to keep on top of everything.
Lovely to see another knitting resolution - one of my goals is to teach more this year! I will have a think on the others when my house is more in order, with thanks to help from you lovely lot.
Thank you for the new list :-)

Morning all!
Loved having a lie in in a freshly-made bed with the rain and wind lashing on the window. Reminds me of when the Vallikids were tots and I loved not 'having' to go out;) - I would defer errands if the weather was foul - though we ALWAYS went to Toddler Group!
Have washing in WM and TD is running.
I'm going to try to get some 'work' work done; and some paperwork dealt with - oh and take the young cat to the vets, to have the mysterious bald/discoloured patch looked at. She shows no sign of irritation; I've never seen her chewing/scratching at it so I'm puzzled. I've brought the carrier out of the shed and got her vet card out *is organised*
My sister and her hubby said goodbye to one of their cats yeasterday - they had to make the decision to let him go.
