  • Thanks everyone, just keeping fingers crossed.

Honey Bear I did contact her today and she said that the rest of the litter are fine and that she hadn't heard of it before. Which I found strange as the vet said it is common in staff's, mind Bo has never had it. She has stopped breeding them now as she was unwell with back problems so she has no dogs with her now.

Lamewolf thank you, that's very kind of you.

Here is a pic of Bo and Ozzy together, Ozzy is the one standing. Hopefully I've done it right, this was only took in November.

Flying wise I have tidied livingroom and kitchen, plus everyone been fed soup. Poor DS3 has eaten very little again today.

Thanks for your company in the HHCs - I managed to complete all the flying that I wanted to do today before DH came back from town - but by then I was absolutely ravenous and quite exhausted again. We ate jacket spuds and then I fell asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours. Usually tiredness like this is a sign that I'm about to start a migraine, which I am desperately trying to avoid this weekend, but it could just be the accumulated exhaustion from 7 months' crazy building works or even the remnant of the head cold that I had at the beginning of the week - whichever it is, I hope my GUAG returns soon.

DH is now building the office chair which he bought me for Christmas. He's doing it in the (newly cleaned) bathroom, where there's more space!

This evening I must turn up the net curtains for the guest bedroom to the correct length, and I still need to write thank-you notes and send New Year greetings to a few people who sent us unexpected Christmas cards :o

Just a bit of steam mopping to be done tomorrow morning :)

Welcome to newbies and welcome back to returners. Hugs for those with poorly pets or poorly people in the house.

Skinty, you made me laugh out loud :rotfl: with your description of throwing the animals across the room and telling your DS that they had escaped from the zoo! Keeeeeeeeep posting :D

    I have

cleaned down and re-backed a board (all staples removed first) and I fould some pretty maths border so I copied it and used that.

I now know what is in ALL my trays.

I have ALMOST finished tidying. We shall 'gloss' over the colleagues who expressed shock at seeing a clean, tidy desk. ;)

Valli's resolution - to stop generating 'heaps and piles' on the desk.

Shoot! I've left my microfibre duster and Mr Sheen...

vanilla poor Ozzie. That's so sad.

Today has mainly been working and feeding the wm. Tonight's job is the ironing.

DS2 brought his girlfriend round. She's very quiet!

Need to unload the maiden. Sigh!

    Hi rippedoff3:wave: - dunno I'm afraid I'm a self confessed neat freak :o

Beastlings in bed. Just sitting down to supper and a movie. Have paid DS dinner money online for the month, and got 2wks for DD in an envelope with her enrollment forms :T. Cleared out DS book bag too, so all I need to do is add pe kit and change of clothes!

I've got my photos in a pile ready to edit. Ditching any that don't have people on, and they have to be people I know :rotfl:

hi rippedoff3, you'd be right at home in my home. its definately no show house. i do strive for decluttered neatness but tidyish is the best i get most day. and you can guarantee they are the days no one visits. but have a mess and they seem to be queuing up to knock the door.

Hi rippedoff3, and welcome! I have friends like that too - my standby phrase when they visit is 'Oh, you should have come round on Wednesday, it was tidy then!':rotfl: You're among friends here too.

Saw today's list when I got home - hall, stairs & landing are still good as I decluttered those a couple of days ago. As for the office, hahahahaha....no chance! I can't even SEE my desk to clean it. I can barely open the door - although, to be fair, I have moved house and my 'office' has gone from being a room to an old pantry cupboard! It's on my list, but isn't getting done today, sorry :o

I haven't done a Toots List yet, but am trying a new system which is kind of similar. I've got a 'Master' To Do list in the notes section at the back of my diary. Whenever I think of something, whatever it is (apart from general shopping or cleaning, so it's stuff like 'WD40 the locks' or 'Digitise filing' so no more loose bank statements or receipts, less clutter!), I write it down there. When I have time, I look at the list and see what I can do - and I will have a record of all the 'big' jobs I did when I'm feeling useless. I can also look through it before going on other errands and lump tasks together. I'm only a week or so into the 'new' system, but it's working well so far. Gets it all out of my head, giving the BD less to hang around for.

Hugs to Vanilla re Ozzie - there are lots of online companies that supply vet prescriptions cheaper than they can be got at the vets. I'm all for supporting local vets (mine is lovely, she is the one who told me about the online pharmacies, recommending one in particular so I trust them) but some treatments can be hugely uplifted. Here's hoping Ozzie gets well - TLC is hugely healing :-)

Soz for the HuGe post, catch you all tomorrow x

Some of them are on here - well I am anyway :o I struggle, live in a tip, look around and can't face doing anything cos it's a tip, etc.

Welcome to the thread - it does help me to at least do some things!!

Oooh, I like that idea - mind if I pinch it? I think I'll need a whole notebook though not just the back of my diary!! I like the idea of a record of things achieved rather than writing a list on a piece of paper and chucking it afterwards.

vanilla - hugs; beautiful dogs x

Vanilla, sorry to hear about Ozzy.

HSL done this morning before the paid stuff. Tonight I have just been sat here entering competitions. Hopefully it will have been time well spent.

    Tomorrow:

    Dog walk
    Hair cut
    Make pizza base

and anything else that crops up.

    'See' you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.
