Poor DH sick - he had some wine last night, just the one glass, and he feels like he has an awful hangover and been throwing up. He looks so pale too. He's sipping water as scared to have anything else. Of course none of this helps my sickness phobia so I'm trying to be relaxed which is NOT easy:(

Dusty I have a goLITE M2 SAD lamp - I just put the timer on, have 15 mins under it (best to be in the morning and certainly before 12) and off I go! Good to research things.

Not sure who it was said about YouTube but I think it's fab - learned to thread my overlocker by it which is no mean feat!!

Flying wise, cleaned bathrooms, tidied up, sorted beds and done some paid stuff. Off to find some lunch for me and the kids now.

I need to find my GUAG, so now that DH has gone to town for an appointment with the optician, I am declaring a HHC from midday! I have decided to ignore the lists this week and just clean through the house from top to bottom, the aim being to do all upstairs, the downstairs bedroom and lounge today and the DR and kitchen tomorrow. Although the decorations are still up, almost everywhere is tidy, so it should not take me too long if I get a wiggle on.

    Off I go.............!

Welcome back, TMD. Stix for your BD Dusty.
The bad cat had managed to completely remove the lid to the food caddy in the kitchen to get at the turkey & sausage rolls that had been removed from the fridge  She had completely removed the lid, which had been locked down to stop her getting into it! The remains of the meat was in the hall & no sign of the sausage rolls! She had been aided & abetted by the dog when it had reached the floor. She won't have eaten much of it as she doesn't have any teeth!! The most annoying thing is that I only vaxed that carpet on Tuesday!

I'm sorry about your de-vaxed carpet GI, but you had me with this one. :rotfl: A toothless thieving villain being able to open the locked lid .... Love it - as long as it's not in my house! How's the dog's digestive system doing?

One of my 2014 Listy things is to learn how to do five new things that cost me money. You Tube is my personal tutor, trainer and trusty friend. I've learned a lot from it over the years.

How come, when you track down stuff you want to cook for a dinner party, you can't find the recipe that you absolutely know you had? Anyone know how to poach a side of salmon in a fish kettle to serve it hot? Timings etc needed. *thinks* Back to You Tube, then.
    Better is good enough.

    In my HHC I
    - opened the upstairs windows and blew the mental cobwebs out
    - hoovered and dusted our bedroom, hoovered the back bedroom and landing
    - took the orchid pots off the landing window sill and cleaned it
    - washed the orchids in the shower and put the pots back on the windowsill
    - squeezed out and put away the last of the rubber ducks
    - S&S'd the bathroom
    - shut the windows again.

Now going to do another HHC and see if I can finish dusting the back bedroom, hoover the bathoom floor and stairs, make up the spare bed for our friend who is coming for the weekend, clean and S&S the guest room and hoover and dust the LR. Maybe I'll need a bit more than half an hour for all that....

  • back to report while young Skints are playing zookeepers on my floor I have:

hoovered around the room (by conveniently throwing the toys to the other side of the room and tell DS the animals are escaping!)

De-gibbled all 4 of my bedroom hotspots, wiped down bedside tables, and tops, sides and fronts of chest of drawers

wiped laptop padded lap thingy and lap top

emptied nappy buckets in both bathrooms, given them a good wash.

put floordrobes from ensuite and main bathroom into laundry baskets

a quick 3 minute de-gibble in ensuite while DD4 was laughing at a flushing toilet

a quick 3 minute de-gibble in hallway rehanging coats, slinging boots and shoes back on the rack while kettle boiled me a nice herbal tea.

Going to go into daisy mode shortly then can shovel next lot of AB's and then make sure I wait 4 hours before letting DD4 get near me.

DD1 has safely arrived in Ireland to see her bf, take off was delayed by 40 minutes but apart from that it was fine.

DD2 has yet to become conscious and DD3 is out with friends.

Once she gets back it is off to Specs@vers to collect repaired glasses

Seems like the more often I get back and post the more gets done .....anyone fancy another HHC at 2?
The cold never bothered me anyway
