Some wasps are solo flyers and will look for somewhere to hibernate, so (especially if it was a big one) this is more likely than a nest escapee. Someone probably moved something or it has got warmed up and thinks it's Spring.
My Toots list "item at the top because it's being dealt with" is the flying at work. I'm off again shortly and I will take some recycling with me in the car (from home) pick up some I have there and then, as I have to drive past the tip on the way to town and the bank I will take it in - two birds and all that...I have to go to a couple of banks...in fact
*runs to find DD*
DD wants cheques banking too; so I will take hers! Many birds there! WOOT!
We (at our place of work) spend the Summer sorting our rooms - this wasn't properly done (indicative, I suspect, of feeling of room occupier and hence no surprise she resigned) so I am playing catch up. There has been a lot, over the last few weeks of 'shoving it in a cupboard' because it takes time to properly go through stuff. Annoyingly we had a skip this year so lots could have gone...
After this sorting I will finally feel I have properly 'moved in' and made it mine.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Just popping back in to post a list. I've been working longer hours lately and I've gone back to college so I've been lurking now and again and checking back for motivation too.
Anyway, the house isn't looking too bad but I need to do a big clean of DD1's bedroom so we can decorate it, but I am going to try to motivate DH to help out a bit more too as he is off work at the moment with depression and anxiety but I fully appreciate that he won't be jumping up to clean the house whilst he's off.
Anyway.....to the list:
Monday Bathrooms and a bit of Everything Else
Done
New Year's Eve - Kitchen and Dining room
Done
Wednesday - New Year's Day
Hoover out smoke alarms and test
Thursday - children's rooms, spare rooms or any bedroom
Extras
Make sure PE kits are ready
Friday Hall, stairs, landing and office spaces
Dust all the skirting boards
Dust the lighshade (make sure the bulbs are off - I stuck a microfibre mitt to a hot bulb earlier)
Wipe any marks from the walls
Off to make a tomatoey chickpea soup for lunch then we're taking the girls and DD1's friend to the park for a blast of fresh air.0 -
hall tree is down in a sad little heap along side a box of deccys. think ill leave the shoe rack in the alcove it fits and hall looks so much bigger and tidier without that at the bottom of the stairs.
rang drs and booked my lady mot;) (reminder came christmas eve)SPC~12 ot 124

Looks like I'm really lucky with the console ownership lol we're only a house of 3 and only have a PS2 and a DS and DS lite, and 3 laptops (2 in need of some repair but still usable)0

Morning everyone
Very dreich here today. Just working up the courage to face the weather for a trip to the pharmacy.
Limited flying so far, just breakfast and tidy up thereof. Glad its hall and stairs today, cos they look a bit neglected here.
Hugs for those in need, and lots of sticks for the black dogs.

Done my HHC - doesn't really show did about 10 minutes rehoming in my room, to be distracted by the suspicious silence of DS (this is a child who does not stop talking from before he opens his eyes til after he is asleep)
Found cabinet door to lounge unit open (this is 5ft in the air) and houses the permanent markers, felt tips, staplers and other non child friendly items.
A sheepish DS starts saying "sorry, sorry sorry sorry....really big sorry" as he reveals a well decorated paper aeroplane he has made - decorated with blue permanent marker, by using the new settee as a TABLE!
4 streaks of blue marker on my settee......quickly nabbed my banana oil cleaner from trug, and I "think" it is all gone, but need it to dry off a bit to be sure - 10 minutes spent sweating and cleaning and mumbling under my breathe
Thinking about moving all craft, pens and pencils out to log cabin, so it is a definite decision to do stuff, rather than this helping yourselves nonsense - add to Toots list for sooner rather than later.
Then I will do the old fashioned bank thing of a pen on a beaded string, and it doesn't leave the kitchen :rotfl:
Went to kitchen, 5 minutes reloading DW, couple of minutes rehoming DD3 vegan items to were they really belong. and then brought some bits in from outside fridge to use up. (Looks like veggie soup will be on the menu at some point today)
DD4 and DS are now on my floor playing zoos (garfield Pepp@ P!g and Simba are currently out of the enclosure with DS playing zookeeper!)
so I might try for another HHC/tidying in here so it looks like something has been done. The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
hope its all come out skinty
i'll join you for the next HHC, i still havent swept out the kitchen. will leave mopping now the trees down as i want to sweep through everywhere and dyson stairs before mopping hall and kitchen now. (or fake needles will stick to wet floor)SPC~12 ot 124
