WM is on its second load, and I'm busy organising the years supplies for work that arrived this morning. Only another 9 packs of bags to sort from packs of 50s to packs of 70. I did start off with 20 packs and numerous packs of other bags so I'm making good progress for 2 hours. Next job will be re-inking my contact details stamp & then stamping stuff. A few hours now will save me hours through the year when I'm busier and theres less to watch on the TV while I'm working :rotfl::rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Thankyou Dusty and LW, I'm sure it will be fine, I'm just getting my knickers in a knot through fear of the unknown ;)
It's not helped by the fact that MIL's house is utterly spotless all the time and SIL is just as [STRIKE]bad[/STRIKE] good. I just need to remember that they're coming to see us, not to check for dust on the skirtings :)

That said, I have dusted all the skirtings :rotfl: polished in the LR and our BR and vacced everywhere. Apart from the girls room that is, as I couldn't see the floor. They're just back from town and were met by my wrath at the door; they're tidying now.

Ironing all done, I even ironed the stuff that will need it which is on the airer so once it's all dry I can put it all straight away. I will need to do a light load tonight but I might be able to join you challengees with an empty basket at the start of the year.

Bathroom scrubbed (bath panel, door and frame, under sink cupboard, the lot) save for the bath and tiles which I will do on Weds am so it's all nice and shiny ;) Kitchen done too, big table put away til tomorrow as we're off to the outlaws tonight again -- we've hardly had to feed ourselves at all this week, I've saved a bomb :D

DH is off out to argos

Mine just gone there too. He brought me a new maiden from DS3 for Christmas (I know but it is what DS3 wanted to get as one of mine is falling to bits) which is rubbish so he is taking it back and going to BnQ to get some new wooden rods to fix my old one which is much more :money:

Bathroom done, shower room still to do. Just going to put a few more bits away first and then do that. Once DH is back we are going to do a HHC in his office/dumping ground which was the job for the holidays and so far only DH has been doing it (and it doesn't look any better).

Serena welcome home, sorry about the inbox (sorted now)

    Thought for the day:

That's a really good quote Dusty.

Washed up and will clean the kitchen up whilst cooking some vegetable soup; decided to go for that instead of shepherds pie as need to use up some odds and ends.

    Absolutely right, Dusty x

We have shoes. Aww. And another school dress, 2prs leggings, some awful trainers for DS. Then went to my mums. Not been home long so were having an early tea. Bath and bed for littlies. Both tired (and mummy!)

Phone still isn't unlocked so I've played pop with O2. They didn't do it as they took the email address wrong  they have the bl00dy address on account! So now they are doing it but this time it's only 24hrs??? I don't believe them. My other phone might be fixed by then. Gah.

  • Hi all - I'm in this week. Thanks for the thread.

Have just caught up on 5 unread pages of last week's thread and 5 of the new one!! So belated birthday greetings to Lozzy and hello to new and returning Flyladies.

We have just got back from taking DS back to Herts - 1000 miles in two trips in less than a week!!! It was so worth it though to have him home for a few days - absolutely brill. Got a hug when we left (unprompted):j

DH back at work tomorrow so will tackle the ironing in the morning and report on progress to clear the pile on the armchair then.

Not got my plans for 2014 sorted - usually do that on New Year's Eve so will report later in the week. They will include losing lots of weight before our 30th Wedding Anniversary trip in June!!! as a priority.

    xx

:hello: dusty and hex! It's nice to be back....

Kitchen done :D Then, as it had stopped raining, zoomed into town for a quick walk up and down, and bought some little buttons to finish two cardigans for colleagues expecting babies in January.

  • Back to update list with progress so far

Monday Bathrooms and a bit of Everything Else
    Only got 15 minutes...
S&S toilets and sinks (including the kitchen) - work in progress
Have home been found for all the presents? Try to get one thing out of the house for each thing in - new socks, get rid of the religious ones etc
    30 minutes to spare....
    [STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean the bath and/or shower[/STRIKE]
Wipe any dusty surfaces in the bathroom
    Got an hour....
[STRIKE]Use up/decant any dribbles from shampoo etc, bin the empties to make space for Christmas smellies. [/STRIKE]no new smellies this year
    [STRIKE]Meal plan for the week[/STRIKE]
Declutter floors not just into a box or binbag to hide away, try to put things where they belong, a home for everything will make life easier
Sweep/mop/hoover floors you can now see

    Extras
New year, New you, what would you like to learn to do this year (much more inspiring than the same old loosing weight and exercising) - for me it is to make sourdough rolls and learn more knitting techniques i like this - will need to think
Meal plan for the week done up till Thursday - can never think beyond the two days of steak pie
Count some blessings from the year gone by
[STRIKE]Chill something fizzy to toast the New Year [/STRIKE]been chilling since it didn't get used at Christmas

    Also:

[STRIKE]Buy steak pie ingredients[/STRIKE] all done except puff pastry - can make if I have to
Organise NY drink shopping trip - ideally not on Hogmanay

Beginning to run out of oomph just now. Think its time for a cuppa :)
