Took mine down Christmas Day night about half 9ish, I have no idea why I'd just got fed up of looking at them and it was starting to bug me. Admittedly it was just the (artificial) tree and a few hanging directions, took much less than an hour to have them carefully put away.

yep that's what we did in our house too - absolutely nowt on telly so said to mum about 9.30 lets take the tree and decks down, but we left the Xmas cards on top of the living room unit and the place looked a lot tidier. :p

I didn't put any up in the first place!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

This morning I have taken down all the cards as I am fed up looking at them. I will probably take the tree down later too unless my children want it left up for longer. I am a bit of a minimalist and hate clutter, be it ornaments or piles of paper, I just like to see clean clear spaces so christmas decorations are only ok for a couple of weeks then I get desperate to clear the house again, especially as loads of new toys, clothes, books etc have just entered the house

Whe will you be taking down yours ?

we do it as it should be done; tree and decorations up on Christmas eve (or maybe the day before), and they are taken down on twelfth night.
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

DH took the (artificial) tree down yesterday evening as we were fed up with trying to stop our rescue kitten from climbing it and chewing at the wires for the lights. Still a few strands of tinsel around, and some lights around the front door, which will probably stay until 12th night.

Another traditionalist here - Twelfth Night.

(I do wonder though, if people didn't put them up so early, perhaps they wouldn't want to take them down so soon after Christmas.)

Didn't bother this year, just wasn't feeling the Christmas spirit and live on my own, so not affecting anyone else.
