I cannot believe it's Sunday AGAIN! The weeks are flying by.

Is everyone ready for the week ahead? LTW's planned?

Tomorrow I will be having salad and hummous pitta bread for my LTW. With some fruit.

#54 Another 4 for me this week making it 8/18 but does it count if I take lunch to work and then fail to eat it??????
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!
  • I've made a huge pot of lentil and veg soup that will last me the whole week for work. I add some nice whole meal bread and fruit to make the lunch really filling and really cheap!

No, that doesn't count :rotfl: But nice try! If you do that, then just take it home with you again and bring it in for the next day :)

Curlywurly- I love the idea of saving the money for each lunch you take in, let us know how much you save at the end of the month :)

Sorry I've been missing for a few days.

Allowing a saving of £0.50 every morning I don't buy coffee, £2 saving each time I take lunch in and a £1 saving each day I use the bus I saved £13.50 last week and that was with only saving £1 for taking lunch THursday as I went and brought some soup as I was still hungry. I will keep you updated next day day as that's when I will transfer the money across.

Thursday consisted of the other half of wednesday's quiche with some leaves and tomatoes however I was still hungry so ended up buying some soup from the canteen. I haven't counted Thursday for this reason.

I can't remember what I took Friday! it definitely had leaves and tomatoes, wasn't cheese and biscuits or quiche or chicken skewers but was something!

I stopped at the co-op on my way home today to buy some salad and some quiche and some yogurts for lunch this week. The quiche was reduced too and doesn't go out of date until tomorrow so I will freeze it tonight and use it later in the week.

Bowling sounds good w2bse ..I haven't been for years!!! Must think about going soon . We have had a nice weekend overall..:D. Went to town yesterday did some shopping and had coffee out which we don't do often. I have read a few cookery books, been on the internet, played with the rabbit and made an utterly gorgeous pizza from scratch.

I have also sorted out the freezer and we have lots of space in it now and we have stuff to use up. So this weeks lunches are part of the plan.

Haven't done so well food wise over the weekend.:rotfl: It started with drinks after work on Friday, followed by a visit to Waitrose for ys baguettes, then to the chip shop. Scrambled egg on toast, sandwiches, chocolate and some tiny caramel slice things to name just a few. Never mind hey?!! :)

Anyway I have been sorting out this Weeks lunches...

Mon, Tues, Weds HM soup, hummus, breadsticks, carrot, celery, baby tomato's, banana, tangerine and an apple. We have a team meal on Thursday and I am off work on Friday so I can eat from home. Repetitive and boring but uses soup and hummus from the freezer and its pretty healthy.

I would also like the lentil soup recipe please.

Eta b17c your post made me laugh 'dozey cow' is what I am in rl most of the time!!! I have been over to the clean eating thread... Became mildly terrified and left. Giving up tea and coffee seems a bit to much for me ATM...I will need to take baby steps I think!!!
