Day 3 done for me!
Not a very inspiring lunch today, just what I found in my desk drawer. A chicken and vegetable (apparently - tasteless as usual!) cup-a-soup, 4 outcakes and a wee can of weight watchers tuna. Just about to have my grapes before I need to get back to work at 2pm. Such fun! :-)Aims for 2014: Pay off Barclaycard (currently £4003), Pay £2000 towards defaulted Santander loan
and move into my own house!

3/22 for me today. It feels like more because I started taking my lunch and breakfast to work when I went back to work on 30th December.
GF fibre cereal for breakfast.
Tinned soup, GF crackers and an apple for lunch. The soup was lovely but a bit salty as I am now glugging copious amounts of tea and eating a biscuit.
Fishcakes, saute pots and peas with LO apple and pear crumble and I will have hit my 5 a day too:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Day 3 of 17 for me.
Leftover beef stew and a slice of crusty bread that I picked up for 19p in Mr A yesterday.
Tonight I plan to make some homemade soup for tomorrow. I am finding that with a little effort we are saving quite a bit but not because I'm buying lunches but because my Hubby is buying extras as he's been taking lunch to.Credit Card £[STRIKE]2332.04[/STRIKE] at 1st Jan 14 now £2089

Hi all
Can I jump in here? Did several months of these a while ago when I was being more money conscious. Realised late last year I had crept up not only to buying my lunch, but also buying a takeaway coffee (and more often than not, a bun or cake) every morning. Worst case scenario would see the cost at around £9 a day. There are better things I can do with that money and the impact on my waistline is also huge.
Working month started today, please count me in for 16 days. That gives me a day off a week!
Today's lunch:
Brie, cranberry and salad sandwich on granary
Banana, pear, 2 satsumas, raw carrot

Happy Monday everyone! _pale_
So I have day 2/16 in the bag :j
Once again peanut butter met bread for a divine lunching experience...
We're away for a week next week so I'd rather not have to venture to the shops, I'll have to see how far I can manage with what's in the cupboards!! Peanut butter again tomorrow I think to use the last of the bread, then I may actually put some effort in and make some kind of pasta lunch. I did buy a tin of tuna for the cat but I'm thinking I might have to steal that for myself... :rotfl:0 -

Yes, thank all merciful holy things! It left me at about 3am.
I think it's due to caffeine withdrawal, I'm trying to stop drinking tea for a few weeks but its not going very well! I've got it down to one tea a day but if I don't have any at all I get the mother of all the headaches in the world
Thank you for asking :A
Urgh, caffeine withdrawl headaches are the pits. Glad you're feeling better though now xxApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
