asp- my downfall is Dairylea cheese spread. It's one of those foods that i know can't be good for you, but is so blinkin' lovely, i just dont care :D
  • Phew. Having headed back to work on Thursday after the Christmas break, it appears all my clients have done likewise - the last couple of days has been nonstop emails and trying to catch up!

Lunch on the 2nd was hm roasted tomato soup and cucumber sticks. This ended up being much appreciated as the office is currently freezing due to the air conditioner playing up. Sadly today was less successful, as while I managed to avoid buying lunch that was largely due to not getting around to having any at all :o

Plan for tonight is to cook some choizo and cheese muffins, make some different soup and organise the fridge so I am prepared tomorrow!

    So far 1/18 for #16

Day 2 completed, I have just been taking soup. I wanted something light after the last few weeks.
Tomorrow I will be taking turkey sandwich though as I have a full turkey in the oven now.

I haven't had dairylea for years, I might get some once we have used our cheese that is left over from christmas.

I like the sound of the chorizio and cheese muffins, do you have a recipe please? :)

So worried that is a huge turkey!! Could do the rest of the year!!:rotfl:
DC, I mean it's so much cheaper for me to take my own lunch to work, than to buy lunch at work.
Even if I buy a wrap/sandwich/baguette at work, they can still cost a couple of quid a go

I think that is what I was trying to say but garbled it all up!! I went out with mum yesterday and we decided rather unusually to take sandwiches rather than buy lunch out. I made egg, lettuce and tomato (rather hilariously the auto correct wrote timotei - shampoo! :rotfl: )sandwiches. Anyway I worked our the cost and our was 27p for each one. The cheapest I have ever seen an egg mayo one is 80p and as we had one and a half each that is a good saving overall.

    Hi Guys,

Just checking in to say that day 1/18 is done. Tuna Mayo sandwich yesterday for my lunch.

I am off work on Monday so hoping for a run of 4 days next week, if I am not tempted by lunch at the pub on Friday.....

    PP xx

That's why I have made tuna mayo sandwiches for tomorrow... I wondered where that idea came from?!! Great one! Thanks for the idea.

    Good morning LTW'ers!

All updated and adds done up to here :)

I had a lovely evening out yesterday. B17c, i didn't have steak as the only steak they had was a 27oz!! I knew i wouldn't be able to eat all of that, so i had the posh burger and chips instead.
I am going out for dinner next weekend too, as it's my sons 14th birthday, so i will definitely have steak then!

Both of the boys are at their Dads house, so i have a quiet relaxing Sunday today. What is everyone else up to?

Mmmmmm.... Burger and chips... that sounds nice. We had chips from the chip shop last night as I was back late... it was a lovely treat :)

Today I have been taking the Christmas decorations down and other household tasks so nothing to exciting. Been feeling a bit down today for some reason. Our rabbit is poorly again :(so we have been spending time with her to try and encourage her to eat. It seems like its her teeth again so we have booked her in for a dental on Tuesday. Poor thing. Had a lovely simple tea tonight of mashed potato, Brussels, carrots, peas and vege sausages.. Oh and lots of gravy. I made a rice pudding earlier and we will have dinner of that in a bit... Yummy!!!!

Hope everyone else had had a nice day.
  • Back in work tomorrow - actually starting a new job :)

Have my lunch ready - quiche and salad.
