Hahaha...hmm, i guessi could try and test a few recipes :D I buy the cauldron chilled ones at the moment. They cost £2 for about 5 or 6 balls of falafel and i use 1 per pitta and have 2 pittas a day when eating that LTW. So they last me 3 days. Not bad i think :)

Lol, thought I'd try and be cheeky - no harm in trying eh? ;):rotfl:

Actually, hat is pretty bargainous isn't it? I think I might give them a go !

    Hi all

Yeah - Day 2/16 done and dusted #53.

I used pasta and added left over chorizo and stir in sauce. I think most of the scraps are finished from Xmas so I will have to plan a bit better for the week ahead.

  • Hi Guys,

Just checking in to say that day 1/18 is done. Tuna Mayo sandwich yesterday for my lunch.

I am off work on Monday so hoping for a run of 4 days next week, if I am not tempted by lunch at the pub on Friday.....

That steak sounds lovely! I really want to find some decent steak at a good price next week, as i fancy Steak, onion rings, garlic mushrooms, thick cut chips and mushy peas....oh my mouth is watering!!

It was lovely :) You're making me want it all over again!
I just had it on its own, I was so hungry I couldn't even be bothered to make a salad with it! My steak was from M*rrisons, £3.60 I think... In London it would've been a fiver!

Day 4 for me, will eat at home, shift is 6pm til about 11:30pm prob depending how busy it is... Was sent home at 7:30pm last night it was so quiet! Weather REALLY bad here, coastal roads were shut in both directions!

  • I have not been on-line to post any updates but I can say I am 2 days down of the 12 days I will be going to work in January!

I took a tin of tuna and a tin of sweetcorn and mixed it up with some mayo, pepper and paprika to make 2 lots of lovely tuna salad lunch. Added some spinach and some tomatoes and yummmmy...

I also ate more fruit and took my own tea bags to work so not paid a penny out for food outside the house! Love it!

Just a recipe incase anyone is interested, I made this today for lunch and have put the rest in a lunch box for tomorrow. You can use whatever veg you like, good to use up bits and bobs leftover that don't create a meal on their own!

    Turkey and Bacon Stirfry

Fresh turkey steak or stirfry strips (whichever is cheaper)
    2 strips of bacon
    Packet of prawns
    Last few spring onions, chopped
    One lonely tomato, chopped
1 green and 1 yellow pepper, chopped
One leaf off a Savoy cabbage (rest will be cooked for pork roast tomorrow)
    Handful of beansprouts

Heat olive oil in a wok or whatever
Brown turkey, I cut strips into smaller pieces.
Add bacon, make sure turkey and bacon are cooked enough before you add other ingredients
Add all other bits except prawns, tomatoes and beansprouts
    Stirfry for 3 mins
Add rest, stirfry for 2 mins
Add black pepper and lemon juice to taste. You might want to add soy sauce but I can't have that :)

    Scoff!

All updates and adds done up to this point :)

No work for me today, i don't work weekends.

What are you all up to this evening? I am off out for dinner tonight with my friend and his fianc!e. He is one of my best friends and asked me to be Best (Wo)Man at his wedding in September :) But i have never met his fianc!e, so we are getting together for dinner tonight. It'll be lovely to see them both.

It's my 1st night out in 3 years!
  • Weekend off for me as well. Quiet night in for me, with a glass of wine (or 2). And see what's on tv. Might watch Star Trek:Into Darkness
