Hi all,
Apologies, I'm another newbie to the Sun holidays thing so still confused as to how it all works. I was thinking I might be too late to get the vouchers in the newspapers as it's already started? Can I do it just using the codes on here?
I saw one response to a similar question but just got more confused, sorry.
I just wanted to know if I've never done this before if I need to buy the papers or just use the codes on here really.
Many thanks0 -
Ive never booked before, but I'm wondering how it all adds up, sos it £9.50pp, then the services charges per night then the entertainment passes, it all starts adding up really fast.
Do i find out all the extras before I confirm my booking?:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -

Up until last year July all newbies had to collect 10 tokens from the Sun newspaper. There are more than 10 printed, so it is not the end of the world if you miss a paper or two.
Last July newbies were able to book online for the first time, so all that they needed was 10 code words, not the actual tokens.
I don't know if online booking will be open to non-priority reference bookers this time around, so it would be safest to buy the paper and collect the tokens just in case. As I said above, there are more than 10 printed, but you only need to collect 10, so there is more than enough time for you to start collecting tokens if you only start from today.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

No you don't.
On booking you will need to pay for a minimum of 4 people at £9.50 per person if you choose those dates, or £15 per person if you choose those dates, plus a booking fee which is £2.25.
Once you have confirmation of your booking, the park that you will be staying at will send you an invoice for the balance, e.g. daily service charge, entertainment passes, linen etc. There will be a deadline for paying this. Some parks did not give much time from sending the invoice last time around. If you don't pay by the given deadline, you forfeit your initial payment and loose your booking.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Thanks springdreams, can I get away with just buying weekday editions of the paper (cheaper) or is it just on Sundays? How long do the papers have the tokens in? several weeks?0

The Sun holidays website states that it will be possible for everyone who wishes to to book online:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/competitions/promotions/holidays/article4981870.ece
The differences being that those with priority reference numbers get to book a day earlier than those who do not have a priority reference number, and those with priority reference numbers will know which park and dates they have been allocated BEFORE they pay, whereas those without a priority reference will only know this AFTER they have paid.
It is therefore not necessary for you to buy the papers to book online. Grab the codes from here.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Excellent, thanks for that link it answered a lot of my questions as well. I assume if just using the codes on here I wouldn't have a priority reference number? Sorry I think that's my last question and I'll be ready to put a bid in0

I think there's a list online of what the service charges, etc. are for each park - or you could ask somebody who has the booklet to look it up for you
You pay the extras at a later date, after the park sends you an invoice.52% tight0
