Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a park around an hour away from Drayton Manor? We normally go to Scotland or North East and my geography is shocking lol. Tia

Hi all, big thank you for v helpful posts re these amazing Sun hols. Have been to various parcs in France for past 5 years but fancy a change now and thinking of Costa Brava. Has anyone been to Cypsela, Cala Gogo or Internacionale de Calonge parcs?

Hi everyone ,I have used sun holidays before with varying reviews but have never tried Butlins, has anyone used a butlins before and how do their prices compare to the sun offer? thanks in advance

I have been to Butlins in Minehead 3 times with the Sun now. We find it fantastic as there is so much included like the swimming pool, funfair and all of the shows.

We're going this April in the second week of half term half board in a silver room and it is £268.00 for all 3 of us. To book on the Butlins website for exactly the same deal is £408.00.

We've done self catering before but found we ate out all the time so didn't use the facilities though food is expensive there and at least with half board it's prepaid and all you can eat with a huge variety of food.

Also the silver rooms are nearest to the Pavilion less than 5 minutes whereas silver self catering is right at the back of the site so a good 15-20 minute walk.

I've only been to the Butlins in Minehead but it's amazing, I'm 27, my boyfriend is 30 and our daughter is 7 so it's great for any age really.

    Hope this helps :)

Last year when trying to book Butlins it kept coming up standard unit. Did anyone ever find out if this was a caravan or apartment? As in the past it's stated standard apartment I'm sure.

I emailed them specifically about this two days ago. They said you'll get a standard apartment unless otherwise requested, i.e. if you pick half board you only get a room. You can then upgrade to silver for £3.50 pppn. If you upgrade any further you get charged Butlins brochure prices.

They don't offer caravans, they are all privately owned, the only off apartments (with kitchens & lounges) or rooms (bedrooms and bathroom/shower room only).

    Hope this helps :)
