Hi, I was wondering if anybody had tried the Duinrell site in Holland with the Sun Holidays. If so what was it like? Any tips?. It looks pretty good on Tripadvisor. The only think that concerns me that with all the European Holidays - Oct (only £9.50) or 30 May, 6,9,13 June (only £15). However I want to go for May half term Friday May 23rd - and this is not listed, do I assume this date is not available. I find this strange as all European holidays only have these dates listed, however I did the half term week with the sun deal 2 years ago in France. Has any one got any ideas?

We went to Duinrell last year and it was great. Accommodation was pretty basic and you had no option to upgrade, but it was clean and very close to the amusement park and the tiki pool. I was hoping to book again this year with Sun holidays, but they aren't including any dates in July :( but I've booked to go back anyway. Would've been much better if I didn't have to pay full price though:cool:

The park is about 40 minutes from Rotterdam or IJmuiden (ferry from Newcastle) and is an easy drive. Local town (Wassenaar) is about 10-15 minutes walk away and is a lovely place, with some nice shops and a really good ice cream parlour:j

This is a fantastic park and I would highly recommend it
  • Right i am totally confused , do i need to buy the sun everyday for ten days to get the codes to apply on line or is there someother way of doing it ? and as i live in n ireland and there is only ONE park to choose from do i have to have more choices as dont want to go over the water and pay for ferry sort of defeats the object of a cheap holiday !
    Keep on soulin on .

    Hey all,

Have any of you visited Butlins through the Sun offer before please? I have been twice and am going again this year but we always go half board. I just wondered what room you get if you don't click half board. Is it just a standard room or do you get self catering facilities? My brother in law is looking to come with us if there is availability but it depends on whether they get self catering or not.

    Thanks everyone

Has anyone booked a European sight before?? Thinking of Southern France in June, and as far as I can make out from the leaflet I got with my priority reference, it will cost £19 pp & £49 service charge (£7 pupn), no charge for facilities pass, for a 7 night break. Does this sound right? Will there be additional costs for bed linen etc? As there has been in the past with uk breaks that I have booked! Also, are European breaks typically available in June or July? Thanks in advance

It's normally sometime around 4pm on the day before the last word comes out so should be Saturday afternoon on the 11th

So does that mean we're up for some code cracking? Have joined the crackers before, everyone takes a letter of the alphabet and types in each four letter word till it works. However they have caught us out before by mixing numbers and letters. I'm up for trying.
  • Anyone going to keep a running thread on the codes? Fed up of writing them down on a piece of paper and then losing it. I'm not sure how to add to the same post!! Willing to learn how though. Generally in previous threads the codes have been added to first post. Hint hint.
  • wasnt on last time the sun holidays came out was the code cracked or did everyone have to wait for the last code to come out?

Last time I booked it was the July promotion and I booked for the Oct half term Le Croix Du V.P. and the code was cracked and site was live on the Saturday pm. They used a previous code but it seemed only useable for that day as when I tried the next day it wouldn't accept the same code.

    The travel makes it expensive

European parks don't have duvets , just blankets. You can hire sheets and pillow cases but we bring our own and duvets / sleeping bags

You also have local tax to pay in some places , around 20 euros or so

yes available in June and July

    Good luck

I was wondering the same and emailed them asking earlier today. I will let you know what they reply.
Most of the European parks open in April

May half term is definitely included. We have been on SUN holidays to Brittany the past 3 May half terms
