Hugs Calling, sorry for your loss.xxxxx
Not been a very good week here. Been slowed by chronic pain and it has meant I have not managed my choices or budget very well. Food shop done today. Now to get ready for work.
Haven't had chance to catch up on posts, this thread moves fast!! Hope everyone is ok and well. L2B.xLBM 2008 [STRIKE]£45,091.23[/STRIKE] eek: now £7889:T Debt free date 18/07/20180 -
Thrifylass - hope you manage to come to a decision which suits everyone.
Loveadove - very interesting article. This morning I had yet another conversation about mobile phones with my 10 year old DD, there are now only 3 children in her class who don't have one (her being one of them) several of them have iphones, I understand how she feels but for goodness sake she doesn't even need a phone let alone an iphone.

hugs to thriftylass and calling :grouphug:
dolly the key really is to sign up to as many mystery shopping companies as you can. it is quite time consuming but its the only way to get offered lots of jobs. i have a few favourites but i cant rely on just them. i am signed up to around 10 i think. its difficult to recommend a specific one as lots of the jobs may only be available to certain sex, age, interests, gender etc.. have a look at the mystery shopping thread in up your income as they a massive list. also worth signing up to instant notifications for the alerts thread as most jobs are self allocate on first come first served.
so back from city. went to trainer shop and he said running ones not best for me if i dont actually run. recommended some oasics gel ones designed for high impact with same cushioning as running ones but more sturdy. were £75 so just bought them as want to go back to classes tomorrow and were less than budgeted for.
then got slipper boots in boots for £4.80 :j also bought a £3 pair of pump style slippers for summer
didnt go to wholefoods shop as was tired out after over 1 hour in travel agents mystery shophave enough nuts for week so will look next week.
only other spends were on a few food bits as did two food mystery shops. bought myself some heinz tomato soup for lunch tomorrow. havent bought soup for 2 years as i make all my own now but a colleague had some the other day and i really wanted it. if anyone has a hm recipe for soup that tastes the same please share :A:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
dolly84 - It is shocking how consumerism affects even the very young. There was always something back at school that everyone had to own to be considered 'cool' whether it was wearing a branded pair of trainers or owning a rainbow coloured slinky. It is appalling that the average playground necessity is now an iphone! It does make you think, what will be next? It must be very tough saying no but good for you standing your ground!:coffee:

cream of tomato soup, six ripe tomatoes, one potato, one onion, pint chicken stock. fry off onion, add tomatoes and potato and stock, simmer for 20mins, blitz, stir in single cream. enjoy. i find crazysquirel is great for soup recipes.Credit card respend 2551.58 (15/02/17)0

I told my mum to let me know when the funeral is and I'll try to get a doctors note (easyjet won't except midwife's). If I can get one in time I'll book the flight. Spend day today, big aldi shop, friends birthday gift and lunch. I'm about to give up for this month and practise damage limitation.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Sorry to hear about your sister Calling
I've had a very spendy day (food shopping) but the cupboards are bulging so hopefully I'll be able to meal plan for the month and still keep the spends in line.
I've done my exercise for the day - walked miles around supermarkets :rotfl:0 -

Hope the poorly people are feeling better soon, be kind to yourself!
Had a busy and not all the successful on the SFD front for me this week, although did manage to resist the boots sale! a big whoop for that one :j
As at 18th Jan
SFD 8/20
Travel spends 28.80/£30
Food Budget 143.08/£150
Downshifting - Already on Value brands for the most part
Outings - None planned
Fitness - Freebie Activities Only Daily
Beauty Spends 0/0
Getting dangerously close to the food and travel budget, which i know i will go over on both this month but suspect this was caused by the extra travel re the job interview... which turned up in a job offer for OH :j and the subsequent Takeaway celebration for the Job offer. Will be aiming for as close to 20 SFD as possible between now and end of the month0
