Back again... been re-evaluating after the past few days (have been feeling quite rough).

Yesterday was a spend day as we did shopping... £29 in tescimos and £13 in morries which is not bad considering it should be enough for the week.
    :)

Today is another spend-free day which makes it 10/20. Halfway there!!
    :j

Hope everyone feels better soon. Mid-month is always a bit of a pest... always feels so draggy. (Although this is no change for me as I am normally wishing the month away to get more money).
    :p

So sorry to hear about your dad your missus. And I am sorry to hear about everyone who is not feeling 100%, I hope you all feel better soon.
    Hugs.

edit: oh... and I did the £3 food bank thingy at tescimos as well.
    :)

very sorry to hear about your dad his missus:( thinking of you and your family :grouphug:

so puss is ok! :j:T hes actually lost less than 1kg-my scales are obv faulty :o:o:o vet cheked him over and he was not impressed when he had a thermometer shoved up his bum! said he seems fine and wet food isnt great so not really an issue if hes gone off it as long as he has his biscuits. said small loss could be due to not eating wet food as its quite fatty. suggested i got some paste stuff for hair balls as he is very fluffy and he he is gagging a bit. just been trying to get him to eat it and he obv doesnt like it so just smeared it round his mouth and hes had to lick it to clean himself. had a little brown beard :rotfl:

vet was free as part of my £10pm plan and also got his flea and worm stuff. paste was £18 though

    Evening all,

Sorry to hear about your dad his missus, big hugs to you and your family.

Today was my first day of the month without any exercise! I am just too tired to do anything and decided to have a day off from everything exercise related. Have a gym visit planned for tomorrow night so will be back on the exercise tomorrow.

It was a planned spend day today as needed to do the top up shop for essential bread and emergency deodorant! Tried to get a few other bits that we needed so spent £12.26. I am now over my food budget for the month, however this did include the Christmas dinner food, so I am having to use the contingency fund money to see us until the end of the month :(

Diet is going well :) Just need to make sure I stick at it. I am loosely following The Skinny Rules (no carbs after 2pm, one treat meal a week, lots of fruit and veg and protein, no chocolate etc) and have lost 8lbs in just under 3 weeks.

Hope everyone has had a good day, we're over the hump of the working week :)

  • Evening All,

Hugs his missus thinking of you and your family.

I've lost my mojo completely this week, not sure if it's hormonal or the weather. It's a struggle to make it to work i'm just shattered.

Only spend today was £37 for Osteopath. Did meet a friend for lunch but she bought me a hot chocolate :).

Keep at it we're half way through the month!! Eh xx

So sorry to hear about your dad his missus. I hope it helps a tiny bit to know we're all thinking of you ♥

Oh I'm so pleased your cat is ok! My cat exhibited similar symptoms in the summer and it was such a shock to have to get him PTS :(

We still have this troublemaker to look after though...

His missus – I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Hugs at this difficult time. Thinking of you.

Xspender – I have a DH like your OH and he would not eat before he left the house as it was ‘too early’ and then he would spend loads every day on hot breakfasts at his work canteen. He now takes bagels in foil like you do, and has also has a box of cereal under his desk for when he gets up too late to toast his bagel at home! I never thought we’d get to this stage but we have! Slowly slowly catchee monkey and all that…

Great news about the mog Clippy, and love the pic Moomin! Our little white kitty seems to be picking up this week health wise (phew) and the big black cat brought his first kill of the year in the other day. Sigh.

Re the chat about making the rules work for you, I have to say that I do this too in various odd little ways, but as long as I am not spending wantonly, thinking about my purchases when I make them and adhering to the spirit of the challenge then I think that’s the point and purpose of it.

On that theme – SFD and swim after work (had to be dragged to the gym by DH!). Totals are starting to look good.

    1. SFD 9/20
    2. Food budget £111.59/£180
    3. Brand downshift 3/5
    4. Lunch to work 8/19
    5. Arranged outings 0/2
    6. Exercise 8/25
    7. Beauty spends 0/£10
LBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j

    Deposit savings pot: £0
  • My condolences to you and your family His missus.

SFD here, 2 hour walk for exercise, good spring clean.
    Seriously money saving
  • 2 More SFD's. Total= 10Sfd's :T

    Run Yesterday- 45 Mins. Total Exercise= 3 Hours 45 Mins/ 4.5 Hours :j

Hopefully another run tomorrow. I say run, but what I really mean is an 'enthusiastic jog' with lots of chatter! :)
