Clippy- hope moggy is ok, we have had our cat woes in the last month too so I know how worrying it is… fingers crossed (and good for you eating the nice choccies too).
NSD day here but no exercise as still not feeling right health wise. It’s really starting to get to me. Exercise never used to be a chore I put off, but a necessity that I loved. I don’t know what’s happened to my MOJO. In good news, I have just been given a surprise 1% payrise for the past year at work in a lump sum in Jan’s paypacket! Yeay. That pays for the hotels I had to shell out on this month for a christening and a wedding and puts us back on track with our predicted pay off amounts for January. I am so happy! It’s crazy that I am so excited to use my hard earned and surprise bonus on paying off debt rather than treating myself, but the thought never even entered my head till I heard others in the office talking about buying that nice dress / going for a meal etc with theirs. My first and only thought had been brilliant- we can get back to predicted repayment amount despite social events we can’t control (we have to go to Christening as we are god parents and we have to go to wedding as I am making the wedding cake and she’s a very good friend).
Right off for an early night to try and feel human…

Evening all.
Clippy-girl - hope moggy is better soon.
rosiecheekblossom - I follow Frugal Queen. She lives quite close to me so I know a lot of the places she talks about.
SFD 7 for me today. Disappointed to note that I did no exercise (again). It was very icy here this morning so managed part of the walk to work, but felt it safer to catch the bus the rest of the way.
Tomorrow will be a spendy day as meeting my dad after work for tea, so will take the opportunity of a spendy day to top up with some fresh food.
Have a good Wednesday all.0 -
I've been pondering and I think I might have to withdraw from the challenge
I too misunderstood about the SFDs and have declared SFDs when I've spent from allocated budgets. I will never hit 20 otherwise
I've found it really inspiring, and will keep plugging along, but I don't want to post in this thread if I'm not following the rules exactly. ♥0 -

Evening all! Hope everyone is ok! Clippy girl I hope Mr Puss McMoggington is ok
my dad has always had cats and I love them, muchos love to the little fellas!
Another SFD today, walked to work (fell over on an icy patch and bruised my knees) got a lift home and had a free bacon and egg roll at work!
Put my Avon orders through and been pottering about, I'm actually cream crackered!
I'm now actually considering having a soak in the bath even though it means getting out of bed... My knees are swollen and sore, wondering if a bath might loosen the joints up a bit?

Seriously there is no need to leave the challenge. Just keep going which ever way you were - it's important to learn how we are spending and how things need to be changed more than sticking to SFD's per se? If you are within your budgets then that's fine.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. RosieCheeks that link was funny. I have read of the Frugal Queen now and then but haven't followed her properly but I might start reading it again. Need more ideas with my move impending and my desire to become an Extreme Cheapskate..(watched it tonight and I was even surprised this time)..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. moomin don't leave us! Stay! NSD or mo NSD, that's only 1 part of the whole Janus challenge. I'm lucky in that my dd only has 1 weekly activity to pay for, and 1 monthly fee. And I've been counting the weekly one as a NSD (oopsie) as I put the money aside. The 'rules' of kat's challenges vary from month to month, but with this one, I'd kind of made my own version of it! Will go and sit on the naughty step - feel free to join me for a giggle about our naughtiness.
To compound a really tight/strained lower back, I fell down the stairs this morning for the first time. Ouch! I think it's one of those thingw where the hurting areas will take it in turns to be the most hurty. So far left fingers, right toes, left ankle, right buttock and left lower arm plus lower back have all joined in. Gonna be a fun day at work as bits of me seize up!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

*hands over biscuits*
ThanksThanks to NSK too! I'll keep posting and keep counting "my" SFDs too as it's really helped me to focus on the frittering away of money on things I don't need and stopped me going to the supermarket almost every day too! I'm up to 7 now which is almost a record for me. I might not make 20, but I'm definitely aiming for at least 15
