Is it Mia in the basket? so cute!

Hope Maisie feeling better after the beach walk :)

I think I am going to have to amend my grocery figure upwards too :( everything just seems more expensive. Or I need to be more organised.
  • That's Archie (black) in the open bed

Who I'm pleased to say has lost just under 4kg since this pic was taken!:T (it was hard work)

I did chuckle at this pic - see the rocks at the right just behind her - I very nearly got stuck on those yesterday  it's the one bit you can't get past when the tide is in on an otherwise lovely circular route ..... let's just say, I leapt onto a ledge half way across - waited and then thought I've just got to go for it or I'll be totally stuck .... it was maybe a bit borderline :o

Our grocery spend is creeping up too, not sure what to do about that :(

Re damp, if you mean the black mouldy spots I'd wipe them off with a cloth and either mould killer or bleach. It won't necessarily stop it coming back but will at least mean it gets slowed down and you can see what's happening when. Then just warmth and ventilation to try and stop it coming back. One of those little scrapers really helps in the shower and might be useful if you have eg a window running with condensation - it just means you can get all the water swiped off and away. I haven't tried dehumidifiers.

My flat is really bad for ventilation and gets damp in several places - not helped by having rubbish 80s heaters which have now packed up anyway. I'm using a huge oil filled radiator and small heater instead and leaving them on much more than last winter (dreading the bills, but have quite a bit of credit in the account so at least hopefully it will be painless).

Re diet, can you get any help with the costs? (I can see how things add up as I use goat's milk and now gluten free stuff.) Is there anything you can get on prescription or any memberships that can get you discounts?

  • Thanks Rosa - will get the bleech out & tackle the window at the weekend:(

Nope - nothing available on prescription & not entitled to any benefits:( - did try to get DLA last time I was I'll & was basically to.d if I managed to work it can't be that bad

Do they want me to pack it in, go broke, be made ho eless & live off the state;)

Funnily enough the past coupe of days I've actually cooked (from scratch) and its made me realise that I haven't done so for months :( (just don't have the energy after work & spend weekends getting my strength back) - certainly since I went back ft

Not quite sure what that says about coping with ft working!

Nothing on TV ..... back to work tomorrow ...... all 4 legged people sleeping:)

Sigh - there's no easy answer to these questions is there.

Don't suppose you have any friends/ family locally who might split batch cooking with you? I never get round to it, but might do if nagged - and it would lessen the storage needed.
