I fell asleep about 10:30 - woke at midnight to the sound of fireworks and was back asleep by ten past :D

Cold and wet here today so having (another) duvet day with my dogs. OH watching some rubbish film - hoping he will put something on that I like afterwards.

I am starving - everyone seems to be mentioning food - I think I might cook something for lunch :D

Have nice lunch and happy new year!

I went out to a movie but deliberately went to bed at 1130 since one of my resolutions is going to be to go to bed earlier - figured I should start as I mean to go on! Heard a few fireworks but went back to sleep.

Happy new year Rising - hope this one will treat you well.

  • I'm wondering if it was fireworks that woke me up ..... or it might've been Maisie barking if she'd heard some (she absolutely HATES them :( and had been barking at them earlier on ... meant to give her some of the calming pills for a couple of days before NY but forgot :o)

Poor soul's been really out of sorts all day today :( - she was really clingy at my mums and wanted cuddled the whole time ... she's slept since we got home  Fingers crossed she's back to her normal bouncy self tomorrow.

So .... had a lovely lunch at mum & dads - but driving back was absolutely horrid as it was torrential rain & windy and there were flooded bits on the road

Think driving in that - in the dark so you can't see the flooded bits :( - is my worst hate for driving .... was glad to be back home!

Thinking of heading off to bed soon - can't believe it's back to work on Friday already :( but ..... hey ho.... keep paddling :)

Ohhhh - and NSD No 1 today :T (have seen something I need but will wait until it's a spendy day anyway to order it!)

  • Bit of a mixed day - found damp in my bathroom  - my fault as I've been drying heavy stuff in there (towels etc) with Mia being in the spare room which is where it would normally go - and obviously not enough ventilation :( Have opened the window (I'd shut it when it was really windy and forgot to reopen it :o) and hope that clears it up.... and suggestions?

On the back of that - having washed my towels today, I decided they'd have to go in the TD :( (also in Mia's room) - I am struggling a bit with her in there as it's normally my laundry room and hate having washing in my bedroom ....

Have another load of dog towels to do again already (as it's been so wet / muddy) so not sure what to do with them  - they don't go in the TD!

1st spend of the year .... just a little one :)

I made some Sausage Stovies earlier as I had sausages needing used & thought they'd do for my lunch tomorrow :T (back to work boo hoo:() BUT that meant I'd none left for making Cottage Pie later

Got some onions off mum the other day (I rarely use them - use leeks instead most of the time) but 1 was rotten *sigh*

So .... £1.80 spent (went to C00P as less likely to buy more stuff there ;) than if I go to Mr T)

Just had Maisie for a lovely walk on the beach - it's quite a nice day here (typical now that I'm due to go back to work) and it was absolutely heaving

Far too many dogs & people around but still a nice walk :)

She's snoozing on the sofa ..... cats all snoozing .... :) will have to get stuck into the ironing!

Dreading trying to get up tomorrow - I've not woken before 7:30 since I've been off

  • Have amended Grocery figure upwards :(

It does seem huge but is £40 / week

Unfortunately current very restricted diet is very expensive and milk spends alone are just under £8 / week

The dreaded DietC consumption has grown since I've given up the evil sticks BUT I'm thinking it's the better of 2 not greats so living with it just now & hoping to cut down as the year goes on

Will see how it goes .......
