OMG is it vile outside - saw Moo mention the word droukit earlier and it did make me smile as I've not heard that for ages - but oh boy, I was absolutely that just before
Have been waiting for the rain to let up a bit all day & finally got to the point that I had to take her - or it was going to be dark (only worse thing than walking in heavy rain, is walking in heavy rain in the dark!)
It wasn't the longest walk she's ever had- but has had 2 very long ones the past couple of days so it'll have to do I'm afraid
How come my dogs always want to go out no matter what the weather is?
I can just tell if I phone Mum, she'll say she's had to throw Katy out for a wee this morning & at dinner time again as she'll not go out if it's wet!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Mobile phone dilemma
So my current contract comes to an end in February - the phone is sadly totally knackered (ie it works when it feels like it) so I do need to get another - but don't really want another contract one if I can help it as I really don't use it a huge amount
Dad had found a new one that was quite good (and affordable) and I was going to get that & get a monthly contract with (I think it was Vir*gin) for £10 / month that would cover all my calls / texts & downloads- no tie in, could cancel at the end of that month if I needed to
He was giving me £100 for Christmas towards the phone (so I had £50 to pay myself - which I was going to use my last cashback claim on current contract for)
EXCEPT ..... he gave me something else for Christmas
Now - what I got was very nice and very much needed (I'd been wanting - not needing - one for ages) BUT it's now left me with a bit of a problem re the phone - as I don't have the extra money
*sigh* - he does this ALL the time & while I know it's with good intentions - it's a bit annoying / frustrating as you work around what he's said he'll do & then he does something totally different!!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Not managed to catch him in his yet BUT did spy Mia in hers when I got home (she likes ones she can hide in):
Yay! She likes it!
I bought my mini JRT one of these as he was always cold but he riggles around in it too much and the thing rolls about - didn't look as good quality as this one though lol.
glad to hear the vet trip was a success - one of my dogs hates going but the other is not bothered. one of my horses knows the vets car and as soon as it pulls into the yard she gets bargy and restless lol0 -
Rising, how much to you text/call/go online with your phone?
I have a PAYG on Orange and they do a few good packages: http://shop.orange.co.uk/mobile-phones/plans/paygPlanList.jsp?_requestid=274380 -

She does have another one that's not as good / warm as this one (was desperate at the time as her room is quite cold & wasn't paying £25 for this one!)
Maisie's really funny at the vets - she pulls the whole way up to the door, rushes into the waiting room, has load of cuddles & is a happy waggy girl ....... but when it comes to going through the door to the consulting rooms  the brakes go on!:DWantToBeSE wrote: »Rising, how much to you text/call/go online with your phone?

Sadly Orange doesn't work that well around here (only outside & not at all at my parents) - always annoys me as you get some good perks with them. Don't know why they've never bothered to improve their service / coverage here - guess we don't matter
I've been looking at these - the £7 / month one actually looks OK as currently have 750mg data & never get near using that and I don't chat that long on it and rarely get near my current talk limit (2 hours):o!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I've just been looking on another thread and they recommended giffgaff or tesco Mobile, might be useful to have a read of that thread:

Orange/T-mobile/EE whatever they call themselves these days are a PITA here since they upgraded their masts. Signal is dodgy sometimes. I am thinking about giffgaff.0 -

Thanks - I did see giffgaff coming up on one of the searches but not looked into it yet
Do you know which network they use?
Currently with T-mobile (funnily enough - we never cross to an Orange network although I know it can happen in some areas if the signal is better) and TBH after the hassle I've had to try to get them to fix this phone*, I will not be staying with them
* it's an intermittent fault and comments like "can you phone us when it happens" or "can you take it to a shop when it happens" (nearest one is 30 miles away) aren't helpful!
Cat food - just had a look on the site where the offer was put on and some of the comments from people are ridiculous - people buying 30 lots  plain greed and no doubt ruined it for everyone(although they should have put a limit on the amount people could order - they probably didn't think someone would put if on one of these sites)
Still no dispatch notice .....Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

GiffGaff uses O2 network - I've found them generally fine but they did have a couple of weird glitches recently where we lost service briefly. They did apologise clearly and immediately though. I also like their website and app as I find them very clear.
