Just realised I'm DF again :j as I paid off the remaining car loan (only really taken to get the discount off the car as it was a big chunk :money:) and with the PPI claim the OD has gone too!
Whoop, Whoop!
Wonder if I can manage to stay here this time
Maybe I should 'declare' on the DF thread .... never done that before - maybe it would make me stick to it!
Congratulations, You are Debt Free
I would post it on the other thread, so you can keep looking back on it.As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

OK .... will do & hopefully it'll make me stick to it this time!
Walkies ...... we were very lucky as it was raining but figured it wasn't going to get any better, got there & it was just spitting (but windy) - had a lovely (but chilly - it's only 2 deg out!) walk along the beach and back taking shelter in the dunes ...... we've placed with 'hedgehog' and Maisie has now crashed out on my feet
I've also found a shortcut to one of our favourite walking places
We tend to go once a month as, at a 24 mile round trip, it wasn't really justifiable to go more often - when we have beautiful beaches much closer
Anyway, found this wee road & thought I'd chance it .... it's a piddly single track road with passing places  BUT it shaves off 4 miles .... each way! :j
A 16 mile round trip is much more realistic - especially when our 'normal' Sunday walk place is a 12 mile round trip .... can now think about alternating them weekly!
Glad we're back & don't need to go out again!

Whoop Whoop - like my nice new shiny badge
I will have to work really hard to keep it!
Not a lot to report today - still really windy out (it actually seemed worse last night than on Fri / Sat for some reason - hardly slept a wink!:()
Can't say morning walkies were much fun, it really was a quick one around the park - but it was a bit better tonight and made it up to the next village through the (very) muddy farmers field ..... she loved it!
She's been dried off & I can still see mud on her *sigh*

It's all brand new & sparkly!
Snow's just started
Discovered my new car has traction control yesterday (don't ask) which I'm thinking may come in handy tomorrow!
So glad I've got the winter tyres onworth their weight in gold - on an auto & rural roads :T
The detour road is errrrr not great tbh - it's a wee country lane, certainly not designed for the amount of traffic it's gettingthe sides are totally wreaked already & there's huge chunks ploughed up where people have obviously touched the verge and skidded as it's so muddy! (*cough* *cough* did I mention traction control was handy:rotfl:)
Hope it's not too bad in the morning though!
My boss lives a couple of streets away and I've been known to scrounge a lift (her hubby drives) if it's really bad - but she's on hols!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
