Good to see you back on the boards Rising. x
I too disappear and come back - I definitely find I can focus better by coming on even if its not to report anything particularly MSE.
Hugs to Maisie - good to hear she will be able to eat for the foreseeable future even if you have to resort to beans on toast0 -

So first week(ish) back 'on the wagon' so to speak and ..... not too bad - not fantastic but def better than I have been lately
Really need to try to get food spending under control as that's a big area of spending (a lot of it is dietary so hard to reduce)
So - have inventoried the freezer again and will try to use some bits & pieces up!
Spent £33 at Mr T today - had a £6 off £40 spend & I'd noticed the other day Archie's pouches are on offer so added another 3 boxes with part of itso £10 off his budget & only £23 off mine!
Took Maisie for a lovely walk down by the river in that town - saved fuel from having to go out again later :money:
It's a lovely walk but a bit PITA as she has to go on lead a fair bit as parts of the canal are walled & she'd be straight in if she saw the ducks without a thought to how to get out again
Saw a couple of swans with 6 cygnetsso that was lovely
Not quite sure where the day has disappeared to really :eek:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ohhhhhhh dear ........ hello
I've done a Mooo and not been posting as I've not been good! (hope you don't mind Mooo!)
Pretty much everything is way overspent and really need to get back on track ..... as I've been very, very (very) naughty ......
Confession time ........
I've bought a new car
*runs away quick to avoid barrage of tomatoes / eggs being thrown ... lots of sighs and shaking of heads ....*
(will pop back later to face the music)
In the age old 'in my defense' rationalisation that is so often used by many ... there was a good reason for it!

Feel better now:)
I looked at a 2nd hand Fiesta (year old) so 2 years warranty left, needed taxed (£140) and breakdown cover (£40ish?)- they didn't offer any incentives, didn't knock a penny off the screen price & offered below min trade in value for mine*
Compared to a new I20 - 5 years warranty, 5 years breakdown cover , 1 years tax, substantial chunk off list price, huge amount more for mine & discount for taking out the finance (which I can pay off after 3 monthswithout penalty) AND they threw in 3 years free servicing (which was one of the reasons I wanted to change my old one as the servicing costs seem to have shot up) ... then there really was no big contest in the end
*don't know if they thought silly female won't know how much hers is worth, what a good deal is etc but certainly wasn't impressed
It would've had to be substantially cheaper than the I20 to make up for lack of warranty, breakdown cover, free servicing etc ...... and it wasn't!
Shame as it was a really nice car - but had my :money: head on!
Old car needed £500 spent (service & brakes) and would've needed new tyres very soon & add in mot / tax etc next year it came to around £1k in total - you never get that money back & its a fair chunk towards the new one
Also Maisie will go in the boot (having seats flat is OK but def downsides) - will update re her & cats later!
