    :rotfl: it's so awful it's funny :p

Hi stitchintime! That's really nice of your respective mums - good luck with the challenge ahead! You're number 145

Hi fenmad - I've updated you're total now. Well done for managing to pay cash for the carpet - I think it's the things like that that spur us on.

BritAbroad - well done on clearing the credit card!
sandypan it's nice to see that you put so much hard work in, it really makes it worth the effort! You're a real inspiration to us all!

I'm getting a bit peeved with work - I should have been promoted 6 months ago (based on time in the job, it's not performance related), the paperwork finally went in recommending me just before Christmas, and it should have been signed off 4 weeks ago. I gave a bit of lee-way because of Christmas, chased last week, and still nothing! It makes me want to look for opportunities outside the company...

Ooooh so jealous!! Our holiday isn't til October (another 255 days away!!) and as much as I was thinking about it I don't think there'll be much chance of a little getaway to break it up before then :o

Have started my holiday shopping already though! Got a New Look maxi skirt from eBay BNWT for £6.24 (inc postage!) that should have been £15 - at least there's plenty of time to keep my eyes peeled for more bargains for it :D

Hey- can I join please? :)

I've just been through all my accounts and worked out exactly what I owe and my starting amount is £8383.12.

I was a bit shocked at how much it was when I added it all together but I'm not too worried about it.

The loan was taken out last year- mostly to pay for travelling (unnecessary I know, but thought I should do it while I'm young and not tied down) and furniture etc when I moved house. It's paid every month on a direct debit so will obviously decrease throughout the year.

The overdraft and credit card is just general overspending :o

I want to make sure this is completely cleared by the end of the year and then pay off as much of the loan as possible- not sure if I'll manage to pay off the whole of the loan by Christmas but I'll definitely give it a good go!! :rotfl:
    Credit Card: £2318.71
    Overdraft: £1101.00
    Personal Loan: £4963.41
    Total: £8383.12 :o
  • Paid another £200 today. I would not have paid it off as quickly as I have been doing if it wasn't for this challenge. It's so motivational. Thank you!

Made a nice payment yesterday due to switching gas and electric companies. Turned out we were in credit with both companies and the money finally hit our account yesterday. Money has been sent to the loan so I am not tempted to spend it.

Also checked on balance of the loan and it is less than I thought so another £44 off.

Bringing my total so far to

    #87 £657.36/£9,827.73 or 6.69%
    Goals for February
    Declutter 2/50
    Money Made £0/£200
    Overpayments £0/£200

Another payment today - now at £2407.94/£10,000 so far.
