My current car is an R reg Fiesta, it's had a bit of a battering but just keeps ploughing on, love it! My grandad bought it when it was 2, then my Auntie had it for a few years (they both live in London so when I got it it had really low mileage) and then I got it in 2010 I think it was. If I won the lottery, I'd have it spruced up and aircon, heated sides added etc, and keep it running forever. :rotfl:

It's pay day tomorrow so I'm looking forward to making some payments. The manual one (savings against Loan) tomorrow, then the standing orders come out on the 1st.

my OH has an R reg honda civic!! it's brill, but the MOT is coming up soon, eek

  • 108 here.

Made another payment today - now at £1879.52/£10,000 so far.
  • Still four days to pay day for me but thankfully my last night shift draws to a close in 3 and a half hours (not that I'm counting or anything...)
Bank account still in credit by about 8 quid so all things considered this month hasn't been too bad money wise, would like to make a big payment come Friday but will see how things are going as supposed to be going out for tea and could do with sorting driving lessons and eyebrows out :rotfl:

Slight change to the plan. Taking advantage of an offer of a free car meant bringing forward the insurance purchase, which I put on a 0% card until when I intended to pay it in the summer.
So my total has gone up to £12635

Bah - the month has gone a bit t*ts up for me. Payday tomorrow but very little to throw at the debt this month due to other factors. Paid off the £3800 credit card because I suddenly found out I was being charged 'cash advance' level interest on that due to the types of purchases it was used for. So killed that with the O/D but apart from saving myself massive interests costs, it was just a case of robbing peter to pay paul, and no real progress made. However, it is a relief to see £0.00 balance on that credit card, and it will not be used at all for the forseeable future. Have a £462 balance on the other one, will aim to chomp it down at £100 p/m until it is gone. It will be the end of May when my OD/credit cards are all sorted/gone and then it will just be the Sainsburys loan to tackle which if all stays on plan, I can overpay to the point of paying it off, by the end of the year, 4 years early :D

Next month I hope to have a proper update for the spreadsheets!!

Keep on keeping on you guys, everyone is doing great and we've almost made it through the worst month :D

haha I know this isn't the way to go about clearing debts however I have got myself a few extra quid this month.

Was sooo bored on Saturday night as OH had gone out for the night. So I was on Quidco and spotted Gala Bingo dishing out £32 for a new sign up. With that I signed up and deposited £20. A lot you may think however it's all good. Since Saturday I have only been on the site 3 times and have made back my £20 (still £20 in the account) plus made a further £37.19 in winnings which I have withdrawn and is going to go in my account. Plus today I got my Quidco confirmation that I will get £32 cashback at some point. So for £20 outlay I have won £69.19.

Don't worry I won't be spending any more. What's left in the account I will use to try and win more and once it's gone it's gone. I'm not that lucky haha but it's easier than trying to win a 10 game football accumulator.
