everyone is doing so well!!! i am doing absolutely pants :(
  • Was out at a course last night, and you've all been very busy!

bridget81 - I am part of the grocery challenge they move a little too fast for me to keep up with, so I only go by every now and again for updates, but it's very good, and they're a really nice and helpful bunch :) The trick is not to cut your budget too quickly though, so if I spend £200 a month, I would try to cut it by £20 each month until I reach an amount that works for me.

minimac sorry to hear about the win being spent for you! It was really nice of you to give half to your sister, maybe she will take you for a nice dinner if you tell her what happened?

hi savvygirl86 - sorry for the delay - you're number 137! I'm just focusing on total debt, so am I right that you want to pay off £15622.06?

hi braddy970 good luck for the year ahead! You're number 138.

britabroad that's a really good idea. I am similar to you - always leaving money available just in case!

Today I successfully haggled £20 off my breakdown cover, and will use this money to get the sun roof on my car fixed. It has been leaking for ages, so when I got a really wet bum this morning on the drive to work, I only had myself to blame!

You're not doing pants at all - you've paid off 9% so far, and we're only 6% into the year :p

1 more day until payday and can finally get the ball rolling although I have technically saved a little as I put £60 in a slush fund for when my car needs tax and MOT. That will get topped up every month as well as working on the credit cards. Don't want to end up paying on credit card for car repairs/tax

That's a lovely way to put it :D I must remember that myself.

Not much going on here. I am waiting on some money that is owed to me to go into my bank. Once it hits the bank it will go straight back out to pay off some debt. Is it sad that I'm excited about that?

    Can I join please?

I was in last years challenge, but got a bit sidetracked due to a move abroad.

Anyway, our total is £9080 and it must be paid off by this Christmas!

Daunting, but it's got to be done. Good luck everyone!:T
