We were given our December pay slips today for our Christmas Eve pay day. It's tricking us into feeling like we've been paid, only my bank account definitely doesn't agree :rotfl:
hi to the newbie eecjwd!
Rachie I really don't want to take out finance ever again, but it does look inevitable sometimes! I'm going to do my best to save for something semi-decent, but I heard that finance deals are almost working out cheaper than paying cash at the moment, because you get freebies thrown in, so I'm sure there are some perks for you!0 -
Another £120 paid off for me please

Last night my hubby decided he wanted a fryer in the asda sale @ £25. I'm feeling annoyed that we bought it as it'll probably end up being a dust collector. HOWEVER normally any purchases outside my shopping budget het bunged on the CC and this never, we paid in cash so my ways are a bit better already. I've taken them out of my purse forcing me to be a bit more organised..... Temptation is painful!
We gave into temptation at the weekend and bought a Halogen Oven for £25.00 from Ald1. We also paid cash which we had as a result of some extra work I have done this month. I've managed ok this month mainly down to the grocery challenge - for some reason when I watch my food money it seems to filter through to other areas of my spending.
Temptation is dreadful and a constant fight for me - not to buy things for myself or spend it going out etc but I fight the urge to buy things for my grown up children and my granddaughter. I have realised that I have a psychological need to buy them anything they even hint at wanting - I need to be conscious of this and find a way to stop myself, if anyone has any thoughts or tips I'd be really grateful!0 -
