please update my total to :

    #5 £ 807 / £ 7,007
  • Hi everyone! I'm not really sure what's going on, my maths brain has always been a little lacking...

I started this thread at New year and added up my debt as £11836. I then paid £500. New statements come through (and I had to put swimming lessons on CC @ £70). I've just recalculated and my debt is now £11968??

So I've put my signature back to £0 rather than the £500 I have recorded and will now work on £0 / £11968. Hopefully when minimum payments all come out in the first week of Feb it will have gone down a bit.

My poor brain is confused and I feel like I've been robbed of £500! My min payments total £235 + £1 or 2 daily overdraft fees so not £500.

Can admin readjust my figures please? :(
    Happy!

I am still focussed as I haven't even flipping started yet lol.

pay day Friday. come on xx
  • Hump day rolls around again! Still 16 days to pay day and I'm getting the familiar twinges of NEEDING to go shopping (which are sort of easier to ignore when you have NO free money!)

Got our mortgage statement today - so far we've paid off a whopping...

    £1035.44 :rotfl:

Better than a slap in the face but I'd rather not know the real figure when it's this much! :p

Hehe anyway back to thrifty business, no payments to report (as I mentioned before, no money!) but no debt to increase so that's something :D

    #47 £535/8000 6.6%? sorry my brain isn't working!

Finally off the starters block but only minimum payments this month in order to survive with two of my children moving house this month - hopefully I'll do better next month.
  • Sorry to hear about your exams raggydoll - that's a bit steep for resits! I've updated your total, but I'm sure you'll be making payments in no time at all!

1DayAAT thanks for that! I might try and go for a nosey in a mo.

Hi Raspberry I've updated your totals. It sounds really confusing, I really don't know how all these banky bits work. Would a spreadsheet help you to track interest at all? Is it possible the statements came out before the payments were deducted?

Ruby I've reached that point in the month too. But by the time this weekend has passed, we'll only have a week left to the month  at least that means pay day!

amr I wish I had a house to furnish, never mind refurnish :rotfl:

    spreadsheet updated

Yes - that's pretty much right (I get 6.69%). You don't need to work out percentages if you don't want to. I work it out for my updates because it's nice to see the milestones (10%, 25% etc).
