Woo hoo! I know it's not THAT relavant on this thread but just wanted to share the happy news that my Noddle report updated today and I got my first 5/5! I was worried that it was going to be a bad one because of a few searches and high-ish credit card balance. But I did also clear a loan with Tesco in December so I guess that reflected well. I know a lot of people say these scores mean nothing but it means a lot to me to see a good score, it is motivational for keeping my finances in order and not have bad stuff on my file :)

I think I am going to fall behind this month with DFXMAS - a bit worse than planned - due to promising OH (pregnant) that we can have a bit of a baby-related splurge to cheer her up. It may set me back about 1 month but nothing critical.

That annoys me that I haven't got a 5/5 on Noddle. I know it's nothing to worry about but I only have a small debt, am registered on electoral roll, never missed a payment and yet cannot get a 5/5

Ok, I hope she won't mind me copying this but this is what Kerri posted on the Pregnancy thread..

'I'm a mummy! Isabella antoinette born 21:47 on saturday in a water birth Born wide awake and alert. Photo when I get on the pc, feeding really well she's absolutely gorgeous but I'm biased.'

So there we have it, I expect she won't be back for a while seeing as this little one is only 5days old but I look forward to her return :-D

  • Hi all,

It's really good to see everyone doing so well.

I have been having a bit of a stressful time at work, but will hopefully manage to get time to get more things sold online this month to try and bump up the payments.

  • I've never heard of noodle! As always used experian but I've used my free trial and its £14.99 to check! Is noodle a good one? Not sure if there's a scale of reliability with different credit check sites or if they're all the same, does anyone know?
    Happy!

If Noddle went around giving people 5/5 then they might not be able to sell them their credit score improvement service. . Or am I just getting cynical in my old age?

When you apply for credit, any company will rate you differently depending on what they see as high risk and low risk (a bit like car insurance). It's good to work up a good credit report, but it doesn't mean you won't get refused credit or a bad interest rate. Noddle is alright, mostly because it's free :rotfl:

you forgot meee :rotfl: I am particularly happy as I have cracked 10%. Thanks for all your work in this - must be a mission keeping up with updates but it really motivates me to come back and 'report' my total :D

I didn't - I swear!!! I have been switching to updating the front page every other day, just letting the number of payments tally up! I'm just saying the spreadsheet is updated so I and the other admins don't duplicate work.

Well done on the credit report, and good luck with the baby splurge!

  • suzitiger my multi-quote didn't work 100% - thanks for sharing! That's really lovely news, and glad the little one was late too - I know she was worried about bubs arriving too close to Christmas/New Year.
