I think it's now sinking in and I am now desperately trying not to overspend in December so I am still debt free rather than having a credit card with some new transactions on it. it is going to be a challenge but I'm enjoying it so far!
I think you've been a great forum owner - thank you! very few of us could have a whole year of being on here every 5 minutes - without our OH's abandoning us anyway!
gunWharf and everyone, keep on keeping on in this most spendiferous month of December..
Well I was in a long distance relationship until August this year. Part of the reason I am on a little less at the moment - I'm having to spend double the time cooking :rotfl:
When my OH and I moved out our old flat (3 years ago before long distance), one of us took the health grill, and neither of us remembers what happened to it. I had a £5 Arg*s voucher so thought I'd use that to get a new one. I just wanted a small £20 one, but they had a £40 grill reduced to £19.99. I had a 25% off code for something else I was buying, but when the girl entered it on the till, it took 25% off the grill too, and on top of that I have a 7.5% discount card through work. By the time all the discounts came off, I got a £40 grill and a £12 bin for £15.70. I actually felt like I was stealing something when I was going through the door  It's not exactly a necessity, but sometimes you need to take advantage of a good deal0 -

Eugh, mother of all hangovers today after my work Xmas do last night. One round cost £51 !! It was for 4 and we did have doubles and shots hahaha so not looking great for money until payday. Get paid earlier on 19th and that's been confirmed, luckily I get my overtime in time for this payday too. I think I should be 100% on the 19th mwhahahahahahaha0

Tut tut! Yeah, payday for me is on the 19th this month too, which means a long slog until the 21st January after that! It'll be nice to finish this year on a high though, I think I should easily be able to meet my £2k target ready for next year's challenge. Good luck mate, hope you get your 100% :beer:0 -
haha tut tut indeed but I am team leader so I had to buy the boys a well earned drink.
Good luck on the 2k target as that will set you up for 20150 -
