  • Well done Rachiedabbler on reaching target again. I'll do a roll of honour in a sec.

I've been leading up to announcing that I'm going to be resigning from the thread at the end of this challenge. Like a little mind reader, Pablosammy has been in touch to ask to take over the challenge from me, so I'm very pleased to say that the challenge will live on under Pablosammy's watchful eye next year!

My working day has become a bit longer, and we are being promised a heck-load of work and overtime. I think I'm going to be absent more than's fair, and don't want that to interfere with all your hard effort!

Thanks all for keeping the thread going, and keeping things interesting over the last year - I'll be here 'til the end of 2014, but good luck everyone :)

Thanks minicooper272 for all your input on this thread. Don't be a stranger in the 2015 thread :)
  • Minicooper, thanks for everything this year. This thread has really helped me focus on what's important rather than just the next shiney thing I'd like to buy :rotfl:

A small payment, hopefully not the last before Boxing Day

    #098 £3640/£6540 56%
    Debt Free by Xmas 2015 :xmastree: 098 - £1840/£1840 100%
    CC £0 Loan £0 Overdraft £0
    Debt Free by Xmas 2014 £4700/£6540 72%
  • Well, the spreadsheet is saying our Christmassy weekend away came in around £100 under budget... I guess we went easy on the gluhwein! That's a nice unexpected sum that will be going to the loan on payday.

Mini, thanks for the opportunity to run the 2015 thread, I hope I can do your hard work justice. Fingers crossed all that overtime will come in handy. I'll reserve #001 for you if you want it :)

Not going to be able to make any over-payments to debts in December, in fact I will think us very lucky if our debts don't increase.

I did think it would be ok as we have enough put by for the usual Xmas excesses but then DH came home from work having knocked one of his front teeth out! We also have the Christmas Do this week - the meal and entertainment is provided but will involve taxis and drinks.

Plus if I am going to have any hope of clearing some debts in 2015 I need a good camera that works for various business projects. Recently bought a compact that was supposed to be good but it isn't up to the Cornish weather

Well done to everyone who became debt free or met their targets in 2014 :T:T:T and I will be joining you for next year's challenge.

Edit: Having said that I did just round up my catalogue payment so an extra payment of £5.46
Thank-you to everyone who posts comps

Well, if any month is going to make the debts rise, it's December! I suppose it's a case of damage limitation, don't let it go into freefall.

If you need any camera advice, send me a PM with your requirements. It's been my hobby for the last 15 years, so hopefully I could help!
