I'll be joining the 2015 thread late next week when I've made my final debt payments for 2014!

Can someone enlighten me please - how do I work out what percentage of debt I've paid off in 2014? Thanks!

What was your debt at the start of the year, and what is it now?

    If you know those, it's...

((Debt at start - debt now)/Debt at start) x 100

    Simple... :snow_grin

    Hi Ya,

Could you please put me down for the 2015 thread, I have no more payments to go out in December.

My plan for next year is to pay Mortgage No 1 OFF - £21,992.92!!
Planning on continuing to overpay £1,500 and some months to go for £2,000. Will be hard but am determined.

Thanks to Minicooper for running the thread this year, it has given me the motivation I needed.

I've just been adding up my figures for payday next week.

If I pay it all off next week. I leave myself with £577 for a 6 week pay period. Including all of xmas and new year and 2 relatives birthdays in January.

I think I might have to slip in to Jan 2015 to finally be debt free. Good enough.

I haven't made it this year either but it was a good effort. I still have a couple more payments to make before Christmas.

  • I am declaring for the year! I know I am early but I have made all my payments for the month.

    (Number 177)
My recorded target for 2014 was: £2728.43 but we also cleared:
    £1000 my over draft
    £750 husband's over draft
    £1764 husband's loan repayments
    £1580 for next year's target (Number 212)

    totalling:
    £7147.43

Roll on 2015 and clearing another massive chunk, we will not be debt free next year either but without all this help and support of this site we would still be sat in £20k of debt.

Thank you to every single person who helps to keep us motivated throughout the whole year.

See you all on the other side ! well some of you, many congrats to all of you that have managed to get debt free this year!

Popping in to say I'm technically not debt free, currently my debt is £32.75 and I must keep my spending urges under control so I can repay easily with my pay later in December.
Matlock you've done so well. I think your approach of waiting till Jan is good. I left myself with very little to get through December and now there is too much month left at the end of the money!
12 days to go - it's the final countdown! Now I have that song running through my head.
Off to check my calendar and work out how to make the run up to Christmas less spendy!
  • Hi Everyone....Sorry I haven't been around....it's been a VERY difficult couple of months....

I haven't managed to pay off much this year BUT a darnsight more than I paid last Year....so I can't complain!!

I won't be making anymore Payments before January now so my final total is: £530.26/£48,106.15 (£47,625.89 Left to Pay)

I would definitely like to Join in for next Year....so I'll go and hunt around for the Thread now....
