Some of you may remember that I was made redundant in July. Sadly, I've had no luck finding a job yet, so where I had hoped to use my redundancy to pay off all my debts, I'm having to be a bit more selective about what I pay off and when.

On the plus side, I managed to get a 0% balance transfer from the worst of my credit cards so that has bought me a bit more time to pay that off.

£2483.91 paid off in August, making a total of £10987.90 for the year to date for #124

I'm way past my target now, but that was based on me working at the time, and not having a redundancy cheque. I'll keep going with the challenge though, as I do want to pay off as much as I can. I'd like to think I could make it up to a nice round £15000 by the end of the year, as I have a couple of 0% deals coming to an end that I'd like to get paid off before I start incurring interest; but that does rather depend on the work situation.

Good luck in finding a new job.
And well done maintaining such a positive attitude !:money:

I've started buying Christmas decorations already - much to husband's dismay. We moved back to the UK in the new year so have had to buy absolutely everything other than the clothes we brought home. We used all our savings and 'fortunately' we weren't able to get credit so that's helped I suppose. I figured it was better to buy a few things for Christmas here and there whilst they're still relatively cheap - some still in the summer sales - than buy it all in one go towards the end of the year.
That's my sensible news for today....the not-so-sensible news is that I paid my council tax twice this month! I am keen to get it paid off quickly but not that bloomin' keen really! I can't even miss a payment to balance it out as I'm on a plan. Oh well, I can put the 'free' month payment towards another bill now instead and hopefully clear that a little quicker.

    Hope you're all well.

A vision without a plan is just a dream.
