nanamia, glad to read your coffee and cakes went well.
ive got 3 ton of tidying to do now as i had to get something out of the back of the cupboard of doom thats when i got distracted by my sewing stash so ive got to put it all away now and have 1/2 an hour to print off loads of stuff i was going to do this morning. this morning was really productive NOT pintrest sent me an email and i made the mistake of opening it - im rather taken by their motivational quotes so i lost a couple of hours reading them.
freespirit i do hope that you can get you problem with the paperwork and your KH sorted out. i know exactly where you are coming from re worrying about stuff, i let the most rediciulous things get to me and they do eat you up inside. it sounds to me like he was claiming you as a business partner for tax purposes something his accountant probably advised him to do:mad: hugs and calming vibes for you
must go but i promise ill try and pop in in the morning.
i do hope you all have had something good happen to you today that has given you a reason to smile.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi All
I havent posted for about a week so I have got some serious catching up to do, and so will post with proper responses later,
Basically, the reason I have been MIA is because I had a bit of childish meltdown worrying about the biopsy I had on Tuesday and shut myself off a bit.
I know a normal person would have probably been worrying about the biopsy beforehand, but because I have real issues with hospitals and surgeons (as some of you will know I had 2 operations and a really bad time last year), I was far more worried about the fact I had to attend very minor surgery at a hospital, that actually stopping and thinking about what the surgery was for.
The hospital visit and biopsy was actually fine, but once they said that the results take 4-6 weeks, I suddenly realised what I was there for and what they were looking for, and had a bit wobble.
Monday to Wednesday I worked from home anyway (resting comedy foot injury) and Thursday I went into work and it was horrible as my head was all over the place, and Friday I went into work after no sleep, and foot pain and basically stressing about the biopsy. My boss said a few words to me (not much more than hello really) and I burst into tears and was crying all the place.
He was absolutely lovely and said "just go home, don't log on and work, don't answer your mobile, and just rest. Oh and BTW it's not a holiday or sick day, it's just a have a rest day so don't worry about it and don't record it anywhere". I started crying all over the place again cos he was so nice
I did nothing on Friday at all except had a good sleep, and slowly over the weekend with a lot of help from DD we did a project and de-cluttered both our wardrobes. (With her mainly doing the taking stuff in and out bit, and me mainly sitting on the bed and supervising)
Hubby took 3 bags to the charity shop on Sunday morning, and clearing out space cheered me up and distracted me.
I think basically my wobble is sort of over and I just needed to get it all out of my system and having Friday at home doing nothing was needed as my head was all over the place.
So sorry guys. I admit I had a wobble, which is embarrassing as its nothing compared to what other people deal with) but now I am back xxxAims for 2014

This is definitely my day. I swear to god the tween stage is the hardest :mad:Christmas Crazy :rotfl:
Love de-cluttering, to the point I don't really own much anymore. :rotfl:
2014 IS going to be a good year :j0 -
bbthree - everybody is allowed a wobble and it really doesn't matter what others are going through, your going through this and its important to you and your family, hope your feeling better x x0
-
BBThree I am so proud of you!!! 3 bags to the charity shop! Don't worry about your wobble everyone is entitled to a wobble and hospitals and doctors tend to flare them off.
I had a wobble yesterday caus I can't seem to get a appointment at my doctors and I run out of my indigestion pills on Thursday which will leave me being able to eat so very little if anything at all, and the receptionist at my doctors hates me caus I'm not a 'normal' 23 year old I think she thinks my need for more appointments than the average 23 year old is me wasting time and NHS funds.
Anyway well done you! How is the comedy foot?
Todays baking turned into soup, and peanut butter brownie, which from its batter I think tastes like snickers brownie
I've enjoyed baking the last couple of days
love and hugs to all xxx0 -
Right All
Apologies whilst I hog the thread, and catch up slightly...
Nanamia - I have PM'd you. You are so lovely and caring. Sorry to hear about Facetime being a b*gger. Love the chocolate tree, and love the signature pic and hope thinks improve for DH. Your Cake and Coffee catch up sounded lovely xxx
CupOfChai - I also have major spring cleaning urges going on. I think I need to embrace them before the mood passes me by.
Marco1dog - Hope all goes OK with the house sale.
BloomingTasty - I know this is a late post, but I am thinking of you and your family at this difficult time of year.
Junior J - Good Luck with the non smoking and Matt sounds lovely. Sorry to hear you ended up in hosp after the blackout.
Mrsinvisible - Keep stalking the insurers assessor. When they know you by name as you bother them so much they will soon sort it.
FeistyFidget - Hello :hello: Keep smiling xx
Debndot - Furniture sounds lovely.Aims for 2014

OMO - Whom you do and don't speak to within your family and private life is your business and don't listen to cr*p from other people, life is far too short. I love the captions.
The one about getting their mother attention is soooo true in my house. The one about the post Christmas clearance is getting printed out in colour at work tomorrow and stuck onto the lid of my birthday present box, I love it. Embarrassingly as you can tell from my recent wobble, the mood swings one definitely applies. Yeyyyy you got a badge! : )
mandco - Sorry you have all been under the weather.
Freespirit - Glad to see the challenges are going well. I remember Mary Mungo and Midge, because my brother bought me a book of it when I was small and I treasured it for years. I don't remember watching it though. My faves were Mr Men, then later Dangermouse and Count Duckula.
Caitlyn22 - Trust me I know all about crying and wobbles. Its so annoying when there -s unfairness in the workplace. One word - KARMA! She will get found out - Trust me. 60K curtains OMG! I once had a boss tell me that they were having a nightmare getting Jali radiator covers made for their 47 radiators in their house. We had a Christmas party at their HUGE house, (on a private gated road) and they had suits of armour on the stairs. How the other half lives eh!
Ruth_Honey - I don't like Baileys, but calorie free baileys sound very nice - Yes please : )Aims for 2014

Last post now I promise....
fluffysox - That is so nice that you saved your Mum and Dad so much money. Keep up the nail painting, it does help in these gloomy months.
Since last July I have been getting gel nails done every 2 weeks (in ridiculously bright colours) and it cheers me up so much. I have had a few comments off nosier less nice colleagues wondering how I can afford to keep it up, as they couldn't afford it, but to me like therapy and all about priorities. I don't smoke anymore, I hardly drink or go out, and so if £15 a fortnight to have nice bright nails cheers me up its worth every penny and is a priority to me (and hubby has no issue with it at all).
Hanley25 - Your DS is so cute. I confess, until people on here mentioned he was a knight I had no clue who Sir Charlie Stinky Socks was.
Pigpen - What a gorgeous picture. I really feel for you, and don't know how you cope. I moan and get stressed with 2 kids, a hubby, a job and a very spoilt cat.
ChrissyG - Glad the injections are OK, and I hope the headaches pass. Doggy is a cutie "Hes not overweight, hes just big boned" is what we say about our very spoilt cat as well.
Nic2075 - Hope you get sorted re the job/childminding issue.
On a xmas related topic my window cleaner has just been for payment and pointed out the light up xmas train is still up and on my DS's bedroom window.
On TV related news, I have mainly been relying on CBB and soaps as distractions. As I have probably told you before, I am regularly told by work colleagues that although they consider me to be a fairly intelligent person, I really watch some total sh*te. Ha Ha.
On foot related news, the comedy foot is no longer black and blue and the size of a baby elephant, it's now a fetching shade of pale green on one side, and doesn't hurt unless you bang it into something (as I did with a door frame today
Happy Belated Birthday Crowdpleaser.
Hugs and Hellos to anyone I have missed xxx
As Nanamia has said, for anyone who thinks Manchester escapes the grim weather, trust me "sunny manchester", is never sunny. There is are rare day in the middle of August when you shout quick quick get the sun lounger, get the suntan lotion, and by the time you get outside, the suns permanently back behind a cloud again.

Good for you. You are absolutely right £15 a fortnight should not make you feel guilty. Smoking a couple of packs of cigarettes or drinking 3 bottles of wine in that time would cost as much.
